If you were going to have dinner at the Poly, which would you choose?

thanks!

If you are with your entire family (younger kids), then I'd say Ohana is more entertaining, based on what I've read here.

Our family chose to go to Kona Cafe, and it did not disappoint! It was my favorite of all the restaurants we've been to, while we were there a couple of weeks ago! We would love to go again, but I might want us to try Ohana, since it we've never been.

I normally would've always said Ohana, but the last few times I was there the service and food were both horrible. Kona on the other hand has never disappointed- they have GREAT food. Ohana does have a more fun atmosphere and of course we could've just had bad luck, but I know I won't be going back anytime soon. It's sad becuase I never thought I would say that.

We just ate at 'Ohana at the beginning of June and loved everything, ever the service! The food was perfect and my boys had a wonderful time. And we left VERY full, as usual.
My vote is 'Ohana!! SO worth the $$$$.

OHANA vote here! We think it is YUMMY and a great price for ALL you get. You may have a hard time getting a ressie if you don't get them 180 days out though.
We LOVE breakfast at KONA. They have great, unique, options.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

We have a ressie for Ohana and I was thinking about changing to Kona - not sure why as we've never been to either place. I guess I'll keep the reservation we have.

Another vote for 'Ohana. Even though we usually eat at both, the food keeps coming at 'Ohana. They will bring a kid friendly meal (hot dogs, nuggets, etc) if you have a picky eater. The apps and salad are the best part for me. Now if we are not on the dining plan, we do usually stick with Kona to save money as we can split something there.

Honestly, these are probably my 2 favorite restaurants on property! But Ohana is always my number one. The food there is just amazing. But if you have time, I would visit Kona too. I love the food there...and especially the desserts!

Kona. While Ohana is fun, I like the food at Kona better, and I'd rather be waited on and have a leisurely meal then the meat-fest that is Ohana.

Ohana. My meal there about a week ago was much better than my past meal there 2 years ago, including both food and service. I like Kona too, but I'd rather save Kona for a breakfast (with the tonga toast or macadamia-pineapple pancakes).

I agree with one of the previous posters, Kona is great for breakfast. DH is a big fan of their Tonga Toast :goodvibes

2 of my fav restaurants, you can't go wrong with either, but I'd give Kona the edge.

I really love the food at Ohana (granted I'm vegetarian, so I normally get a tofu/veggie dish instead of the meat) and I think the atmosphere is really cute. I'm slightly deterred from going back, simply because of the waits.

I'm not sure if it's just my plain luck, or if Ohana consistently overbooks, but it's the one restaurant I've been to multiple times where I experience long waits. Even with ADRS, I always end up waiting 30 to 45 minutes past my ADR time (for a party of 2) - even during slow times like January.

Not trying to complain just for the sake of complaining, but I think Ohana can sometimes be a little more trouble than it's worth.

Kona, hands down. One of my favorite places on property.

Kona, been a few times & plan to eat there next week. Didn't like Ohana and won't go back. I did like the salad & wings but everything else, including the service was horrible.
