looking for a table service breakfast before heading to MK. thinking of either kona or grand floridian cafe. any input appreciated. TIA

Both are good. but i'd have to pick Kona because of their tonga toast & pineapple macadamia nut pancakes....YUMMY!! Absolutely to die for. Their pressed coffee pot & lilikoi juice is also delish.

I dont think you can go wrong with either....but i prefer kona.

I asked this a few weeks ago and the responses were overwhemingly in favor of Kona... so we are going with that! I'll post a review when we are back the week of the 14th!

If you are a French toast purist then Tonga toast is not all it is cracked up to be. The maple vanilla French toast at GFC is much better - among the best French toast I've had anywhere, and I have a lot of French toast.

Kona is very good, though. They are 1a (GFC) and 1b (Kona) for breakfast for us.

Kona - my dh loves the pressed pot coffee, and we usually get the Big Kahuna or I ask just for blueberry pancakes and the juice too.

If you are going when the christmas decorations are up and are short on time, then I might consider the Grand Floridian instead, only to take care of both at once etc.

We personally like Kona. Not that GFC for breakfast isn't good, it is. If you like straight forward traditional breakfast, GFC is for you. If you like to try different flavors, Kona is it.
You can't go wrong with either one though~

Our solution to this dilemma is to do them both. It is too difficult to choose. I think GF cafe is my favorite place to eat because it is comfortable and reasonably priced. my wife really likes the eggs Benedict. I love the chocolate crusted key lime pie (even for breakfast! If I can get it.)

I like both, but I think that the Grand Floridian Café has the better menu and atmosphere.

I like your solution, lol!

The only problem is getting to either one for breakfast from AKV! But, we don't do rope drops, and we aren't in a hurry so we slowly slog our way using buses and the monorail or boats. It is worth the effort.

thanks everyone. they both get good reviews though kona seems to be the fav. guess bcrook's solution is best. we decided to do both. lol solves that problem. thanks again for the help
