Kona - Mac Pineapple Pancakes

Probably a dumb question, but I can't tell from the menu description . . . Kona's menu says the Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes come with Macadamia Nut Butter and Pineapple Sauce.

Is there anything actually baked into the pancakes, like mac nuts or pineapple? Or does this item simply get its name from the butter and sauce accompaniments?

Yes, there are mac nuts cooked into the pancake itself. Kind of like pecan pancakes. They are quite yummy.

If you order just the Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes then the pancakes have macadamia nut pieces in the batter.

However, the pancakes that are part of the Big Kahuna breakfast are plain and only topped with macadamia nut butter and pineapple sauce.
