For anyone who has been to the Kona Island Sushi Bar at the Polynesian how did you like it and which kind of Sushi did you end up ordering? Also what are their hours of operation?

We ate at Kona last week and they serve the sushi from the sushi bar too. We had the tempura shrimp sushi and the crabcake sushi. We weren't impressed with either one. I have never had sushi before and I really didn't think it tasted good. My daughter, who is a sushi fan and eats it at least once a week wasn't impressed. She was hoping it would be as good as the sushi she gets in her area and it wasn't even close.

DW and I are both sushi fans, and had sushi at the Kona (which is made at the bar)

I had the Shrimp Tempura Roll:

And she had this ( I don't remember what it was called):

We both enjoyed each dish equally and thought them to be above par from what we are used to here in Philly.

For the record, the sushi we had at the California Grill was even better.

I had the Volcano Roll:

And again, I don't remember what hers was called but it was wonderful as well:

Thank you for posting those pictures and after seeing them they all look so good to eat.

Also you don't happen to remember their hours of operation?

Sorry, not quite sure of the hours, although they were definitely open by lunch, and after dinner while we were there last month.

Thank you for that information. When my family and I was there this past August we saw the sushi bar and another night around 8:00 PM we talked about going there however we forgot their hours, so not sure if they were closed. Anyway I am sure if we are there around 6:00 PM they will still be open.

We failed to get pictures, but Kimono's in the Swan had some of the best Sushi we've ever tasted! :thumbsup2

My DH and I shared this in September, we both absolutely loved it. DH declared it was the best thing we consumed that trip.

Hours on Allears are 5-10pm.

Can you use Dining Plan credits for this? Is it snack/CS/TS?

Thanks!
