I am thinking of taking the kids to Kona Cafe (they are very adventurous eaters - love fish especially) for either lunch after a morning at MK, or dinner before Wishes. Can anyone tell me what they think of Kona and what are their favorites. BTW I only drink decaff. Since the coffee is reported to be good here, I hope the decaff is too! :)

Lunch and dinner are very good there. Dont miss the potstickers. Think you will like it.
We always find it a nice break for lunch.

Kona Cafe is just about my favorite restaurant in WDW, and kids do fine there, so yes go! Excellent food, reasonable prices, a combination that's hard to find.

I am not a coffee drinker, so I can't answer your question. But I will tell you that of the two cups of coffee I have drunk in my life, one was 100% Kona coffee at the Kona plantation visitor center on the Big Island of Hawaii. That was heaven in a cup, an experience I would gladly repeat! I suggest you make a one time exception and get the press pot of 100% Kona even if it's not available in decaf.

Kona Cafe is fabulous! Their seafood is very good, and I don't think that you or your kids would be disappointed. My wife had the Macadamia Mahi Mahi and my son had the Shrimp and Scallops. I tried both and they were awesome. I would also recommend the Kona Chowder as a starter for all the seafood lovers out there.

Kona is one of favorite WDW restaurants. Never had a bad meal there. The Kona Chowder is out of this world delish. I get it every time.

We have a tradition of going to Kona for Lunch on a MK day, then renting Water Mice after lunch for our Seven Seas Water Mouse Regatta.

I have eaten breakfast & dinner there numerous times, and lunch once, and as Leota mentoined above, I've never had a bad meal there.

I was a bit disappointed when they changed my favorite meal a bit, but overall we enjoy it very much.

We love Kona Cafe. We have tried it for breakfast and lunch. The food is fantastic, great service, nice atomosphere.

We have our first dinner reservation coming up and I expect it to be just as wonderful. Kona seems to be one of the hidden jewels at wdw.

Decaf was ok so long as you realize all decaf is never as good as regular.

LOVE LOVE the Kona!

Your kid's will love it too!

My son had the best hamburger in his life there! Also he got some dessert with a waffle cone and cotton candy that was amazing!

I had a beef salad and it was to die for!

Can't go wrong here!

Thanks folks. It really does sound great - cant wait to try Kona. :cool1:

I was thinking of visiting Kona's for lunch, too. Sounds great! Do you need to make priority seating? Thanks!

No I don't think you'd need one for lunch at all. It really didn't seem to be too crowded during the day! I don't think you'd have a problem. Of course that was last year at this time since i've been. :earboy2:
