Planning on taking the monorail from Epcot to one of these places. Which one should it be? Thanks! :)

My vote is for the Concourse. :thumbsup2 I enjoyed it here the last time and have another ADR there for my next trip.

Tried Kona for dinner once and was disappointed. The food was just so-so and the service was pretty bad. Even with an ADR, waited 45 minutes for a table for 1 person.

We love both. You can't go wrong at either. I would just check out the menus at allears.net, and make your decision based on that.

My vote is for Kona. We've eaten at Kona many times .. all 3 meals and have never had a bad experience. The food is just great! The service was sometimes a bit spotty, but it's usually very good.

Kona is one of our favorite WDW restaurants. I have never eaten at Concourse, but I have never had a bad meal at Kona.

I'd vote for the Kona. We enjoyed the meals much better that the CS, and the service was way better.

We had great meals at both. I do like the atmosphere better at the Kona though. My parents at at Concourse in May and he said it was the best filet mignon he'd ever had. Hope that helps!

Another vote for Kona!

We just returned and hadn't eaten at either...Kona was fabulous! Service was great and the food very tasty and beautifully presented.

I had read some pretty good reviews about Concourse and we were really disappointed. Probably the worst TS of our trip. The hostess was very 'unDisneylike' and the meals were mediocre at best. My son is vegetarian and we both chose the pasta dish with shrimp. I understand it's a steakhouse, but neither one of us liked our meal and I left most of mine. My husband got a steak and it was only okay...we were really disappointed!

We just had dinner at both this past trip. My choice would be Kona.

We just got back from eating at both also. Kona is my new favorite restaurant. This was my second time at Concourse and first at Kona. Concourse was good, but Kona was amazing for every course - The appetizer, dinner and the dessert. Just check the menu first to make sure you will like what's there. We met up with one of my cousins who is somewhat picky and he did not want to go there since it was not 'basic'.

My vote would be for Kona. Its our favorite place to eat right now. They have a steak that is excellent there. If anyone else in your party is not wanting steak or someting different, there is other good choices too. The atmosphere is great, the desserts are yumyum, and the drinks :cool1: just add to the dinning enjoyment :thumbsup2

Who is in your party? - if you have kids they may like dining next to the monorail at the Concourse

Do you like seafood or nice big pineapple tropical drinks? - if so go with Kona

Concourse has a good overall menu - nothing great, nothing bad

We have eaten at both and would eat at both again

Cheers

Thanks for all the replies so far. I wanted Kona for the food, but rest of family wants Concourse because of the monorail going by; plus it seems that Concourse also has good food, too. Decisions, decisions ...

Go to Concourse this time and then Kona on your next trip or try Kona on same trip for breakfast - I hear their Tonga Toast is yummy

Cheers

I don't think you can go wrong. CS has very good steaks, Kona has good entrees and great desserts. I think both are very good places to eat. I'd be surprised if you were disappointed with either one.

Go to Kona and then ride the monorail over to the Contemporary and watch it go through the building on the shopping floor :)

Or go to Chef Mickey's for breakfast :)

I haven't bee to the Kona Cafe, but I can comment on the Concourse. We did not like it at all. Maybe we just had some bad luck with us, but when we went there were four of us, and out of the four, three all thought this way. The steaks were just mediocore and for the cost of the dinner, it was so not worth the value! Also, the service was awful. The CM was far from friendly, and hardly came to our table, we had to hunt her down for refills and such. I wouldn't return to the Concourse again.
