So we are planning on going for bfast on the day that we are leaving Disney. Our Magical Express doesn't pick us up until 2 PM from All Star Movies, and check out is 11:00 am.
If our ADR is for 9:25 AM, what will be the best way to accomplish this without having to feel rushed or worried about checking out on time?

I would pack everything possible and be as ready to go as possible the night before. And utilize RAC before heading to breakfast.

How do you plan on getting to the Kona Cafe? Do you have a rental car? Taxi?

Sorry, what's RAC? Also, we are planning on bus to MK / monorail to Poly. Giving an hour transportation each way should be enough time?

Resort Airline Check in. It is checking in to your flight and handing your bags over at the resort.

Disney recommends allowing 90 minutes to make it to ADRs using their transportation. Which seems like a lot until the bus takes a while to show or there is an accident messing up traffic.

I would also pack up and check your luggage with RAC (remember they work for tips), then take a taxi or Uber over.

Then, honestly, you could decide if you want to Uber back for magical express, or simply spend the extra $20 or so and just Uber straight from the Poly to the airport. It would save time for sure (a couple years ago, when heading to the airport, we sat on the bus for over an HOUR, stopping at another resort, before even heading to the airport. We were pissed that we didn't just take an Uber instead).

Pack up everything you can the night before, and pack the rest before you leave for breakfast. Take your bags with you (or have Bell services assist you) and stop at RAC when you head out to breakfast. You will leave your checked baggage with them and not see it again until your flight lands. Bell services can hold your carry-ons if needed.

Leave for breakfast around 8 AM (so be at RAC around 7:30). I know 90 minutes sounds like too long but as someone who almost missed breakfast this week when the monorail got held up, don’t chance it. Alternately, take a Lyft/ Uber/ Minnie Van.

After breakfast return to the resort. Breakfast will take 60-90 minutes tops so you should be done by 11. Allow 90 minutes back to the resort, so you should return by 12:30. That gives you a 90 minute buffer in case things take longer than usual.

With Uber or Lyft, it should take 15 minutes to get back to the resort. No way I'd use Disney's transportation to save $10.

I agree with this! I’m already budgeting $ for Uber’s while there. The small amount of money vs. time wasted wins out every time in my book. Have a great trip!

That's a matter of preference. With 3 kids in tow, it's easier for me to get on a bus than deal with Uber/ Lyft.

Amen!

I thought so too, and since I was never on a broken down monorail before imagine my surprise when the darn thing stopped dead for what seemed forever. WE needed to transfer once it started up again, and ended up on a ferry to the GF. Barely made it to MDE on time since one of our girls ended up vomiting at the bus sop. Never again. On departure day I take paid for transportation back to the resort. No way will I ever leave that frantic.

I've been stuck on the monorail only once and it rattled me beyond belief, so I completely understand. DH had to jog to Poly from TTC and that was the worst of it. If I had an experience like yours I'd probably adjust my plans and pay for transportation as well. My point was that everyone's experience, budget, and limitations are different and in my case to this point it has been more of a hassle to use paid transportation (wrangling my kids in and out of car seats and more than once I have had a Lyft/ Uber not show up or not show up with a car seat when I've specifically requested one) than use the provided transportation. There's the right option for everyone.

Absolutely! I never thought that I would consider paying for transportation that up until that point I had not only found to be reliable, but very much an enjoyable portion of my WDW vacation.

I think some people forget that the very reason to start a thread is usually to get opinions and different options, it’s not to fight your point it’s to help the OP make up their mind what’s best for them.
