Kona cafe help

The Kona Cafe was probably my favorite dinner from my May trip. I hope you enjoy it! I got the teriyaki steak & DBF got the mahi-mahi...both were excellent!

We're having a problem with Kona. DW wants to do Kona at night instead of breakfast since Ohana is booked up during our next trip. I know, however, that if she doesn't get her Tonga Toast I will hear about it. Would you suggest 2 Kona reservations, one for dinner and one for breakfast. The dinner one would be on the dining plan and breakfast would be cash. Please let me know what you think.:surfweb:

This is Mrs. Mickey's Apprentice. ;)

I bet that your wife will not have a problem going to Kona for dinner and not having it for breakfast. If she says she'd rather try it for dinner...then she'd rather try it for dinner. Sometimes, women do say what they mean.

This is one of our favorites!! Breakfast and Dinner!! A few photos from our last trip to help you along...;)

I love Kona Cafe! I've been there a few times. Last trip we made it there twice. Just make sure to make room for dessert because they have the best desserts there! It's the one place I can never decide what I want.

What exactly is this tonga toast I keep hearing about? Can you get it at the Ohana breakfast? We're doing Ohana breakfast, and a Kona dinner.

As a lot of others have said...the Teriaki Steak is very good!I did not have high expectations for this because I'm not one to like sweet with my savory, but this turned out to be my best meal the entire time we were in the World, and this includes a dinner at Le Cellier while there if this tells you anything. :goodvibes Le Cellier was good don't get me wrong, but I actually liked this dinner at Kona much better, including my dessert! Don't bother with the chocolate dessert, it tasted like the box it probably came out of. :sad2: The cheescake on the other hand was outstanding! And I'm not a big cheescake lover, that's how good it was. Hope you like it here as much as we did. :goodvibes

You could go to Capt. Cooks instead at another time for breakfast. They also have the tonga toast:thumbsup2

I can't believe all the replies. The DIS is awesome, thank you everyone. I'm thinking NY strip and Kona cone. I think we will be happy with our choice.

We couldn't get a dinner ADR so we settled on an ADR the morning of our last day there.

Yummy place to go for dinner. Shrimp and scallops, fillet, kona cone, and banana creme brulee.
