I keep hearing how fabulous the breakfast is at Kona! We are staying at Beach Club. I've never thought to head out that way for breakfast. Is it worth it? What's the best way to get there? Best time to make an ADR and what time to leave BC to get there?

Thanks for your help!

IMO, it is worth it. The food there is so good. The easiest thing to do would be to plan on going to Kona on whatever morning you are going to be at the Magic Kingdom. Try to get a reservation before the park opens. That way you can go eat and then head over to the park to begin your day.

If you are driving - park your car in the Magic Kingdom parking lot, get to the TTC, and take the resort monorail to the Poly. Then once you are done with breakfast take the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom.

If you are using the Disney buses - when you get to the Magic Kindgom just get on the resort monorail and go over to the Poly. After your meal, get back on the monorail and go back to the park.

I believe Kona opens at 7:30. I would try to get a reservation as close to that time as possible so that you can be done with your meal and at the Magic Kingdom close to opening.

Allow about a half hour for travel in the morning if you are driving, and about forty five minutes if you are using Disney transportation. Getting back to the Magic Kingdom from Poly will probably only take 10 minutes or so via monorail.

We stayed at the Poly last trip and really enjoyed Kona for breakfast.

We really enjoy Kona for breakfast (or another meal for that mater..) we like to go for a late breakfast after a late night. After the Halloween or Christmas party we go to Kona about 10am have a nice relaxing meal- the resturant is pretty empty by then- then head to DTD for some shopping or one of the parks. It's nice to have a slow start to one day during our vacation!

Thanks!

We stayed at WLV last visit and after checkout, we drove to the Poly JUST for Kona, SO worth it. Infact, this trip, staying at the BWV and we'll do the same. Going to make it a tradition!

We usually plan it for 7:30 on a MK or Epcot day so we can just hop on the monorail afterwards. If we don't have a rental car, we take a taxi.

DH says the French Press coffee is the best on site.
