Kohls credit card

If you have a Kohls credit card, check your due date. Mine has always been the 24th but this month, it changed to the 18th. I checked with a neighbor, and hers also changed from the 24th to the 18th.

Maybe Kohls is looking for a way to make a little extra money with the late fees.

Bless your heart. I didn't notice but mine's moved up to the end of Novemeber from the first week in December.

Yeah, I noticed and complained. I've had the card about 15 years, and it's been due the 14th fo the month every month. It's a miracle that I even opened it in time to pay it by Nov. 8.

I really do think it's an unsavory attempt to get more $ out of us.

Exactly! I think it would have been nice to highlight the date change or add a date change message to the outside of the envelope. Seems sneaky and deceptive and like they were out to collect some extra fee $

I used to be able to pay only part of the balance without finance charges, and that is gone now too.

My Citibank card did this to me, too. I was furious and opened a new credit card with Capital One.

After a little investigating, it looks like the billing date is going to change every month because they have switched to a 25 day cycle.

I used to be able to pay only part of the balance without finance charges, and that is gone now too.

They must be hurting and cutting all over.
I was using that method just 3 months ago. It was nice especially with the Christmas shopping bills.

This is a tactic that creditors use to make more money.

I didn't notice but I always pay it off in full as soon as it comes. I wasn't always able to do this though and that seems like a dirty trick to play.

Really glad you posted this. I called DD right away and she didn't know til I told her. She asked how I found this out and I just laughed and told her you find out all kind of info on the DisBoards. The kids like to tease me.

If your never late on your acct many cc companies will waive one late fee. I will call and ask.

I'm a little disappointed there was no notice on my online acct. I rarely ever look at my paper statements I just look at it online.

2 things from a Kohls employee (hey...I work for the store..not the credit card company...don't hate me...lol)
Supposedly they sent something out in AUGUST to tell us it was changing... but, if you're like me, you never read the inserts, you just check the bill and pay it.

But, I got charged the late fee because I didn't notice, and if you call them to complain, they will waive this FIRST late fee.....
