Kohls cash question

So, I made multiple purchases last week and earned kohls cash certificates via email.
One of them is for $105 and another is for $75.
My question is, do I have to use each of them in their entirety in one purchase, or can I, let's say, use part of the $105 certificate in one purchase, then use the balance in another purchase?
I am asking because I often have to go to multiple stores to find things in stock.

I have done multiple purchases over multiple days to use up kohls cash. They take the kohls cash paper and put it through the register. They give you back the same paper but it will now have your new balance listed below the beginning balance.

Not sure if it being emailed cash would complicate things, but I don't see why it would.

Just FYI- when you use expired kohls cash (if your store accepts it) then you have to use the whole balance at one time. At least that's how it is at mine.
