Just a very mild complaint. In Norway Pavilion in Epcot a CM wouldnt let me order the Cappuccino with my DDP. I asked why, and he said it wasnt on the plan. I said "Why not?" he asked a second CM who said no as well, aand the second CM them asked the manager who also said no. I said OK. When I got to the manager, I asked her (as if I didnt know) "Whats that little purple and white square beside the items on the menu. She DIDNT EVEN KNOW!!! She walked over to the menu, squinted, and said "that means its available with the DDP."
I said. "Yes, your correct. And my Cappuccino has one of them. It IS on the DDP." She appologized, but I was already late and just took my tiny little OJ and left.
My point is theres a LOT of confusion out there about whats on and whats not. It only takes ONE manager thats too lazy to look to mark an item off the list for all guests.
If you feel an item should have been on the list, look for the mark on the menu on the wall. if its there it IS on the list reguardless of what the CM says.
We experienced similar things all week, but overall it was a smooth week with the DDP. Its a great program, even if your denied a few things here and there.

I think any of us Dis'ers know more then any CM or Manager at Disney:thumbsup2 . ME and DW will be there this Friday for 9 nights and we had know problems last year but we kept our eye on what items had the purple sticker but I bet alot of people on the DDP have know clue that the purple sticker means. Love that Kringla Bakery in Norway and bought many items there last year with no problem. The CM's probably don't stay there long and just need a little Disser training.
Can't wait 4 1/2 day till out trip starts. :hippie: :cool1:

Were you trying to get the cappuccino as a snack or as the drink in a CS meal. My guess is it wouldn't be inlcuded in a CS meal credit, and maybe that's what caused the confusion?

as a drink:thumbsup2

Our server at France told me I had to pay OOP for Perrier if I wanted it to drink with dinner.

Later, I found out that wasn't true. . .wish I'd have known that in advance but at least I found out after the one meal!

Even though a cappuccino may be available at some places as a snack credit, it usually is not given as a drink on the DDP, is it?

I would have selected it as a dessert if I had had the option, rather than a drink. I just wanted that coffee.............. I'm sure some of you know that feeling......:surfweb: :surfweb: :surfweb: :rotfl2:

I didn't know about the purple dot..... I assume from the posts above it means it is available for the Dining Plan... do all restaurants, CS and kiosks do this, or is it only some????

I think most do have the sticker (now this is for the snack credit). On a board where the price of the item is the purple sticker should be. I'll be there this Friday for a 9 night stay and try to see how many places have this cause I don't really remember from last year. Most of our SC were used in the Kringla Bakery and they did have this sticker. I have to remember to look in the resorts and see if they use the sticker. Be back in about 11 days with the answer.:hippie: :cool1:
