Know anything about Camden Yards/Orioles?

Just ordered tix for 6/22/04 vs. Yankees - "best" tix available were for Level L, Section 3, row Q, Seats 8-9. From the picture on the site, looks pretty far away. Just wondering - just really wanted to get into the ball park and take a look around as we've heard so much about it.

Thanks for your help!!:wave2:

Ohhh, I'm so jealous. It's funny......DH and I were just talking about Camden Yard last night and what a great ballpark it is. We are huge Yankee fans so I'm doubly jealous. It blows Yankee Stadium away (although you can't beat its rich history) and is really a lot of fun. Be sure to eat at one of the outside stands before. Can't help about the seating, however. My memory isn't what it used to be.

Have Fun!

Hey, I live in Baltimore!!!!

Can't help you though, never been to Camden Yards. My kids have been, and I've driven by.... I hear it is an awesome stadium!

Great stadium, every seat is a good one....went last year. Make sure you walk around outside the park before you go in, to check out the markers on the street where balls have landed outside right field. Still haven't been able to figure out why they made the statue of Ruth right-handed. Have fun!

Sorry TimeForMe - I'll be yelling for the Orioles - but I'm so psyched now to get there. I'm a Phillies fan & our new stadium just opened this year. It's a really beautiful place to play ball, but I still have a chip on my shoulder that the money could have been better spent elsewhere . . . .

Anyway - thanks for your replies!!!:wave2:

I love Camden Yards, I hope the Red Sox destroy the dump they play in and build something like it. You'll have a great time.
And go O's...my two favorite teams the Red Sox and who's ever playing the Yankees!

Not to hijack this tread, but my husband was at the new Philly Stadium on Tuesday inspecting the floors in the sky box suites. He took a bunch of pictures, it really looked nice. I was surprised that he took picture of the field as well, he is a non baseball person.

I have seen Camden Yards from afar, I bet you will have a good time there, no matter what.

It's been a while since I've been there (we used to have season tickets but then had kids) but it looks like you will be down the first base foul line. LL stands for lower level. You will be back under cover of the upper level seats and if I remember correctly there are tvs that you will be able to watch also. I don't know of too many bad seats at the stadium. Our seats were out in left field. You will also be in direct line of smelling Boog's barbeque most of the night. i hope this helps some. Have fun.

Oooh good thread for me to stumble onto today. We are heading down at the end of July to see a Sox-O's game. I have heard there is not a bad seat in the house, but just getting that confirmed is good!
