Has anyone stayed here before? I found a great rate of $59 per night for when I go in May, right now I have a week booked at the Residence Inn and two extra days at the Marriott Suites at $119 a night which I'm thinking about cancelling now and changing to Knotts because of the fantastic rates. The week long stay at Residence Inn is being paid with points but two nights at Marriott Suites are not, anyone think it's worth it? Basically I would be saving over $100 by switching for the two nights.

We haven't stayed there, but have attended a couple of banquets and were pleased with those. The location is very good - you don't need to cross the street to get to the theme park and shopping area.

Yeah, I heard the location is great but heard mixed reviews about the place. I decided to book the hotel anyways for $59 for a fri and sat in may i couldn't beat the price. half the price of what i was paying for the marriott suites. the room won't be as nice but i really don't plan on staying in the room that much anyways.

My boyfriend and I are booked in at the Knott's Berry Farm Resort the same time you're going down (according to your ticker). We'll be there May 17-24th. We've never been, but the rates were great, and it doesn't look like that bad of a place.

We stayed at the Knott's Resort in November. I would highly recommend requesting a room not facing the front entrance and/or higher than the 2nd floor. The night we stayed we were on the 2nd floor in the Snoopy themed rooms (for the kids) and facing the front entrance. They happened to have had a wedding/reception there that evening, and when it was over the guests were all drunk standing outside the entrance and it was soooooo loud! And it went on until 11pm. I finally called and asked about when the noise was going to stop and they apologized, but that was about it. The room was okay, it smelled like an old fart (or someone hadn't flushed, but that wasn't it) when you first walked in the door, and it was noisy. As much as my kids enjoyed Snoopy coming to tuck them in and the theming of the room, I highly recommend skipping it, as you are highly likely to end up sandwiched between families who have children who scream bloody murder all night because they had to leave the park, or because they aren't sleeping at home, ad nauseum. I would try the hotel again, but our first experience there was pretty miserable, we didn't get much sleep.

We will be there in May from the 22-25. We LOVE the hotel. Been there MANY times over the summer time, front desk knows who we are that is how many times we have been there. The rooms are descent and clean. We had one problem the last time we stayed with a joining room that the people open their side of the room and was noisy and tryed to shake the handle to come into our room. Lucky they stayed one night and the front desk appologized a trillion time and gave the kids free snoppy dogs(around 18 a piece) and 2 days of free buffet breakfast(14 a piece I think) Great buffet! Recommend if you go. There resturant is also good for lunch and dinner. The pool is great! My dh love the fitness center. I feel very safe in the hotel which is important with the kids. Clean sheets and no bugs is big to me and never seen neither. If you have a room that faces disney on the higher level then you can see the fireworks. You do have to pay a extra 10 dollars for the whole stay to park your car. I been to all resorts and for the price is well worth staying at knotts!

Thanks, I'll have to ask for a high floor room with a that faces towards disney so i can see the fireworks. I heard some bad things about the beds that they were uncomfortable and that they had no support. But for $59 I think I can handle two nights of that. After those two nights it's off to the Residence Inn for a week! Wow I can't wait two more months and I'll be in So Cal!

while staying at this motel, did any of you take the shuttle to disneyland? I was wondering if they come every half hour, or only when you let them know your going back. I want to book this motel for this fall, I will wait to see your trip reports :)

I stayed here and the room was nice. Beds were comfy, and the walk to the park was a breeze. We like to stay here when we do the Haunt.

Tell me about Snoopy tucking you in? Does the character really come to your room at night?

Snoopy does come in to take pictures and to tuck the kids in if you want. He stays in your room for a good amount of time. It is cute to do it once but we have seen snoopy all over the hotel at times and at the restaurant so we just get a regular room which is a lot less then the snoopy room and because those rooms are on the lower level then I rather be higher up.

For the shuttle. We didnt get a chance to use it but I remember asking the front desk about it and they told me that you have to reserve a time. If you decide to use the shuttle then do it as early as you can because they do fill up on busy days.

I'm gald to see this thread. We are going for two weeks to Disney in April and staying at this hotel. many said that not staying at a Disney hotel was a bad idea but we got such a good deal that we decided to stay at this hotel. I'm sure it will be fine for us. I'm also wondering about the shuttle to Disney, how often? We do have a car rental for the entire time but I'm reading we should not drive to Disney?

We have stayed there 3 times and you really can't beat the location. The people who work there are pretty nice BUT, be forewarned, the walls are VERY thin. The first two times we heard kids running back and forth and shutting doors from the room above. The third time we were in our room watching tv, our kids were on the bed with us and actually being quiet when we got a knock on the door from security saying that someone had complained that we were being too loud. I'm convinced now that the sound insulation stinks and as great a rate and location as it is, I will not stay there again if I have to worry about security telling me I'm too loud. It kinda put a damper on the rest of our stay. If you can, bring ear plugs.
