My family and I are thinking about visiting Knott's Berry Farm and I had a couple of quick questions:

1) How many days does it take to do the park? (my kids are 10 and 14)

2) I was looking at their website about Soak City and was unsure which one was the one right next to Knott's. I assume it is the one they have listed in Orange County. If this is true, can anyone tell me when the opening day is? It lists May 2011 but does anyone know when in May?

(I tried to call and after being on hold for quite some time, I gave up and thought my DIS friends may already know)

3) Also any advice on the Knott's resort or should we just stay by Disneyland?

Any advice or answers are greatly appreciated!

One day is often enough. To really see everything and catch favorite rides more then once, two days is fine. Perhaps a day and a half at Knott's and half a day at Soak City

You're right - the Orange County one is the one next to Knott's. I opens May 21/22 for the weekend, then is open everyday from May 28 to Sept. 5

I've never stayed at the resort. The hotel seem nice and they offer a free shuttle to the DLR. I don't believe Disney offers a free shuttle to Knott's so that might make a stay at Knott's attractive.

Thank you so much for answering my questions - You have helped make my planning easier.

They don't call it the Southern California Theme Parks forum for nothing. Many times, questions go unanswered because the people with the answers aren't looking in another forum.
