Just reading another thread about Crocs and did not want to hi-jack that thread, so I'm asking my question here.

I have some Croc type of footwear. They are not real crocs. They seem very comfortable and I wear them around the house every night.

Do any of you have experience with these types of footwear, will they work just as good as crocs in the parks?

Also just bought DH some black knock offs to wear to the pool and back. I don't think he will wear them elsewhere.

Thanks for your comments and advise.

honestly i have both and i don't notice a huge difference between the two. i have noticed that the real ones clean up better. i throw both pairs in the washer with a few towels when dirty and i do think the real ones come cleaner.

other than that, i and my family have worn the "fake" ones to the parks and not had any problems.

I have some real and fake ones and I don't notice a big difference either. My knock offs are from Payless. I only wore the real ones at WDW though, so I can't compare how they do for marathon wearing sessions.

I have some of the payless airwalk brand and they are just fine. I have worn them to the parks and had happy feet. They also fit a little more narrow than the real Crocs so if you want that then try the payless ones. When I first bought them they did not seem as cushy as my Crocs but within about 2-3 weeks of wearing I could not tell the difference plus they don't have the little nubs that Crocs have.

The Payless knock-offs are the only ones I've had good luck with. I like my Crocs better. They seem to give me a little more support, and they last longer. But, the payless ones are very comfy.

I have only had the real ones and they were a must last year at WDW. But you could certainly give the fakes a try. They sell the real ones all over the parks so you could easily pick up a pair if the fakes are making your feet unhappy. Also, don't count out your husband not wearing them again. I talked mine into getting a pair last year, the pirates ones and he wears them everywhere now. I even noticed him wearing them to football practice in the fall. I know the players loved that!:rotfl2:

I am a labor and delivery nurse who is on my feet all day. I bought a pair of the payless air walkers to see if I liked that style over a year ago. I still have that same 'cheap' pair and I love them! They wear very well! I still don't own a pair of crocs!

I have never worn or tried on croc's or any style similer, what is the low down on them? Are they more comfy then running shoes when you have to walk all day long? Tell me bout 'em

As long as they have the cushy feel of the real Crocs, I doubt they would feel any different. I had a family member buy some knock-offs and they were very hard. She ended up throwing those away and buying some real Crocs.

I own the flip flop style and they are pretty comfy besides the plastic rubbing the top of my foot. I may try the cloth-top Crocs for my trip. (Of course, I refuse to wear the shoe style because I find them unattractive, but I do love my flip flops.)

If you've worn them and think they are comfortable, you should be fine. I bought a pair of knock off Crocs for my daughter, and they rubbed blisters on her feet. We got her a real pair before we went to Disney last June. She wore them everyday (5 days in the parks) and never complained about blisters or sore feet.

the alice's are a good "pretty" croc style. i love mine. they look like ballet slippers almost.

I have the Payless crocs and they are great!! They are the only things I wear in WDW. I think that are better than really ones because, 1) the don't have those little bumps inside of them (some people like them, but I don't really care for them), 2) they are alot cheaper, you can't get two pairs for the price of one pair of the really crocs, 3) I think they come in some pretty neat patterns/colors. But those I just my thoughts about really and knock-off crocs. I also agree with the poster who said the Walmart crocs are terrible!! They are a little two rough and hard for my liking.

I only like real Crocs. The knock offs (including Walmart, Payless, Skechers or any other brand) are are made from a much tougher foam with less "give".

Normally I swear by Payless - I love their shoes - but my feet must have the real thing when it comes to Crocs.

We have a few of the $4.99 knockoffs from The Christmas Tree Shop and have had no problems wearing them. I wore them our whole last WDW trip as did oldest DD. DH wears his around the house all the time.

Oldest DD has also had a few pairs of the Kmart ones and they were fine for her too.

Of any I have felt, Walmart's were very hard feeling and don't appeal to me as far as being comfy! Although I did just buy 2 pairs there for our 1 1/2 year old DD but they were much cushier feeling! LOL

Last summer when we went my kids and I all had Crocs. They were great, and we had no problems. My mom and brother had the Payless brand, and after a day their feet were sore and they had lots of hot spots and places where blisters were starting. So they bought some Crocs from a stand and their feet were fine the rest of our trip.

I work in the medical field, and am on my feet constantly. After almost a year, I have alternated between several pairs of real and "fake" Crocs. Every single pair of the knock-offs have holes or are at least alot thinner at the ball of the foot. They are basically useless. The real Crocs are fine and I can still get alot of use out of them.

Well, I'll jump on the Payless Airwalk bandwagon! I have two pair that I wore for our 06 and 07 trips, and they held up great and I had happy feet the whole time. I think they might actually be a little bit cushier than the real crocs, and as others mentioned, they don't have the nubs in the bottoms. The only time I had sore feet full of hot spots was the day that I wore my one pair of Croc Niles to the MK. I realized that I HATED those shoes! I gave them to goodwill when I got home, they are that bad.

Now, just this weekend I went looking for a new pair of Airwalks for my trip this week...and the only ones I could find were the ones with no holes! Well that won't work, will it? So I went to Dicks and broke down and picked up a pair of pearl white real Crocs. I have been wearing them around the house, and to the store (which is quite fun, seeing that it is still in the 30's here in OH) etc to break them in. The nubs were hard to get used to, and they fit tighter than my others...but they are conforming to my feet and feel really good now. I'll take them and one pair of my old shoes and lots of Moleskin and blister blok just in case.

Sorry for the long response....I am very talkative this morning, I guess!
