Knives - Cutco vs. Pampered Chef Forged Cutlery

I have a set of Cutco steak knives and a set of Cutco assorted gadgets (ice cream scoop, pizza cutter, crazy sharp knife, etc...) and I love them. I've had them for 4 years and they don't have any rust and are just as sharp as the day we got them. That being said, be REALLY careful not to touch the blades when you're washing them- I got a wicked cut a couple of weeks ago b/c I wasn't paying adequate attention.

Don't have the PC knives, so I can't comment on them. I do have other PC stuff and love it as well (pizza stone and various baking gadgets- I love kitchen gadgets! ).

Wow, thanks everyone. I have a ton of other Pampered Chef stuff and love it, but since the Forged set is still new I am a little leary yet. Sounds like Cutco may be winning out. And yes, I can understand not putting them in the dishwasher. that makes complete sense. I'm thinking if I spend that kind of money I better take real good care of them as I want them to last.
