knit wit loom?

So, I remember this from tv when I was a kid...my mom wouldnt buy me one (bad mom!) well now I'm old enough to buy my own toys and found an advertisement for it in a Christmas edition of a magazine...
Does anyone have one?
Use it?
What did you make?
it used to be $45...its now $26 (with shipping)
So...is it worth it...or should I just stop and get one anyway

I bought one last winter, still haven't gotten around to using it yet. They are now called "knitting boards." There are several different styles now, forums & patterns listed here:

My suggestion would be to get one that can do a variety of items. If you just get one of the round ones, like in the olden days, you'd be limited to doing hats, mittens & tubular things.
