Hey all! I don't know where this should go, so feel free to move it! Well if you've seen my posts, I am 13 years old, but i have very bad knee problems...i can still walk but, it gets very painful. What do you suggest I do?

hello disney*chika, my daughter started having very bad knee problems when she was 16 yrs old and all the walking around the parks made for a painfull time for her so we began to rent a wheelchair to help with the pain of walking to long. it helped her out alot and she was able to enjoy herself more. before we left to go on vacation we often got a note from the doctor saying a wheelchair might be needed just in case we got asked or something, we never did though. i say go for the wheelchair so you won't end up in a painfull situation.

Hi Disney*Chicka!
First off, if you have sore knees you need to see your family doctor who may refer you to an orthopaedic specialist and perhaps physical therapy.
That said, as teenagers grow, the muscles, tendons and ligaments in the knees are usually a bit out of balance and with just the right exercises and stretches you can make it tolerable.

My suggestion is to see your doctor and then a physical therapist for the appropriate exercise program.

Good luck!

Hi Disney Chika. When my middle DS was 15 he had physical therapy for very sore knees and after 4 weeks, he was so much better!! Good luck.:D
