I am suppose to be going to Disneyland with my schools show choir to perform, but earlier today I dislocated my knee:sad2: I am still trying to go, but I have a knee demobilizer on my leg so I can't bend my knee at all, I can't think of any rides that I can go on, I am thinking about just not going the doctor said that if I rest all day tomorrow I might be able to go with out the crutches and a small chance with out the demobilizer, but anyway if I bend my knee to much it will go back out of place(so much for rockin space mountian:sad1:. Either way I have to get a wheel chair, but what rides can I go on? Can anyone with knee problems tell me about how there trips go and what you can do?

I say go! Even if you can't do half the rides, you can still have a good time at Disney, and the chance to perform there is not one to be passed up lightly. Below are a few links that might help you.

This one is Disneyland with mobility problems:

This one, though it's WDW not Disneyland, gives a list of rides that can be done in a full leg cast (I'd guess there'd be some overlap between the parks)

And this is a link to an old thread on a similar subject (again WDW, but it might be of some help):

If you're old enough, you might want to consider renting an ECV to give yourself a little more independence, but I think you have to be over 18 for that, so you might not be allowed.

Anyway, whatever happens I say go for it, have a wonderful time with your choir, enjoy all the bits you can do, and don't fret about the bit's you can't do:goodvibes .

Thanks:goodvibes I still can't wait until tomorrow! And yes, some of the rides on that list did overlap and are at Disneyland too and one is on my list of favorites. I am not old enough to rent an ECV, but I have gotten pretty good with the manual ones(I was at the doctors office for an hour and I was in one).:thumbsup2

You're more than welcome! I'm just glad I could help a bit. Even with the practice you've had, I'd recommend you recruit a friend to take over if and when you get tired. I've been using a chair every time I leave the house for the past four months or so now, and it still gets tough at times. Do you have your own chair, or will you be renting one at the parks? If you're using the park ones (I'm assuming they'll be the same as those in WDW) be warned that they are HEAVY! This means pushing will be tiring.

But hey, I'm sure you'll be fine and have a wonderful time! If you need any advice on boarding when you're there, just ask a CM, I've always found them to be really helpful. The majority of rides that have moving walkways (except Peter Pan) can be slowed or sometimes even stopped if you need extra time to board.

Have a great trip and good luck with the performance:goodvibes .
