Did my cortisone shots last week and well I am sitting with ice on my knees because I am thinking it didn't work. Which shouldn't surprise me because it didn't work in December. So now I am feeling all bummed that walking might not be the best option for me. I know I could get through Magic Kingdom and Hollywood. We don't do Animal Kingdom but EPCOT might prove a challenge for me. I won't lie I am 40 and about 50-60 pounds from my ideal weight. But KA recently down 5 pounds, woohoo. It's gonna be a slow pace but I know it's a life style change. Anyway I know weight would help with easing some pain but I also know that my problems will still be there.
Ok, 2 years ago same thing. I rented the ECV scooter in Epcot. And I hated how I felt I was being stared at. It's like seriously people, would never choose this option, but if it's between pain and non pain, I chose the non pain. So I know I need to get over the states and glares. But as a mom to an 11 year old I teach my DS that injuries can be invisible and not to judge. He does it yet adults can't, argh...
Supposed to go for more cortisone into my feet on this Thursday. Scared because if it doesn't work it's an uncomfortable prick.
One day I hope that my knees and feet will e singing the same happy dance as my head does when I enter Disney....
I have a question. I have knee pain inside my knee on the left knee. My doctor gave the shot on the left side. I asked him why not where it hurts. He replied it's easier for the knee and the cortisone gets everywhere. Is that true or do you get the shot where it hurts?
Thank you again for letting this girl do the pity dance. I am gonna try real hard to not care what people think and worry about me and my family.
