Just went to my Kmart on Saturday and they were selling the filters for $2.50/2 pack. I found them next to the bottled water section.

My K-Mart had them marked $2.50 too but they rang up .60 cents. yea!!

I checked at K-Mart and found none but I did find them at Walmart but they were $6.97, guess I'll have to wait til they go on sale.. Hopefully I can find them on sale one day..::MinnieMo :wave2:

I often find them in Walmart and Kmart near the paint department, on the aisle that has fire extinguishers, air conditioner filters and full size filtered water pitchers. No where near the kitchen section, which drives me nuts.

At Wal-Mart they keep all the Brita stuff in Hardware/Paintcounter area because Brita is a brandname mostly known for filtering tapwater in homes. They just keep it all in one place ;)

Thanks for the post. I found the Brita filter 2-packs marked at $4.00 but scanned $1.50. I didn't see any of the bottles but I have one that I bought previously.

In the Kmart I went to they were in the plumbing aisle.

Our Kmarts have been sold out of the Britas for months, but while visiting my mom we stopped at Kmart and they had a refill marked .30 the box was taped but the plastic around the filter had not been opened. They had the two packs for.60 and then I found several other 1 packs in their regular dept. that scanned for $3.97! I got some Leap books (for my first leap) for $1.00. A bratz tote craft kit for $3.00.

i tried kmart and they were not near the brita pitchers...wouldn't this be where they would be if they had them or are they in a totally different area of the store?

Carol....I originally found them in the plumbing area (near the other Brita pitchers). The last ones I found were in the middle of an aisle on a rack with all the other clearance things.

I found them at our Kmart! I looked all over...hardware/plumbing, housewares, sporting goods...and then remembered the post about someone finding them in the bottled water section. Thank you gctong! :D

There were 2 bottles left on the shelf, marked at $7.99. The 2-packs of filters were also available, but with no price stickers...they had been scratched off. I took them up to the customer service counter to see what they would actually ring up for, and was thrilled when the bottles rang up at $2.00 and the box of filters for $.60...the salesperson was so surprised! She said they would normally put such things in a clearance section (perhaps another place to check!). Anyway, I bought a bunch!

Good luck to all still hunting for these, and thank you again for the info! :wave2:

Has anyone found them in Target, Walmart, Sams, Costco, Sears or other general goods stores? We no longer have K-Marts in our part of the world.

waaaah.

And the walmart closest to me does not carry them.

So any ideas?

I went to Kmart tonight and found one single Brita water bottle left. There was no price on it, so I took it to the check out and it was only $2.00. I also had a filter for it, but that turned out to be $2.99. Why would I spend $.99 more for just a filter when I can go to one of the other Kmarts in the area and find more water bottles which include the filter? The manager didn't seem to care less, so I just bought the water bottle. Thanks for the heads up...now I wonder if Walmart or Target have them?::MinnieMo

Daisylove thanks for posting! And Localgirl thanks for the tip about clearance. I did indeed find them in clearance for 60 cents per 2 pack. I found them in plumbing at WalMart buy they were over $5. I also found a Superman Leapbook for $8 and a 9 ft green extension cord (for tree lights) for $1.

Then not on sale I purchased a magnetic play set of Mr. Potato Head for the plane and really cute Disney socks.

I also found several of the Brita bottles here, but I don't think they had the 2-pks of filters. They were about $7 as I recall. If you can't find them anywhere else and have a BB&B in your area, you might try to find them there. They often have coupons which could give you a bit of a discount (if you purchase the minimum amount). Good Luck! :)

Well, I dilly dallied too long after reading this post. I had to visit four Kmarts in four different towns yesterday and today, but was finally successful.

The first one had four of the bottles for $2 each, but no filters. The second had nothing. The third, today, had six two-packs of filters for sixty cents each, so I felt better. I was a little concerned that these were being discontinued and didn't really want the bottles if I wouldn't be able to get replacement filters.

I decided to hit the Kmart in the next town over on the way home (the only other one left that I know of in within forty miles). Nothing was marked as clearance, but when I scanned the bottles, they rang up at 80 cents. I got seven more (and left a few for the next guy) and bought all eleven two-packs of the filters.

I feel a little silly for all the running, but I sure get tired of hearing the family complain about the Florida water.
