I am looking for water bottle suggestions. I want something light and easy to clean that doesn't affect the taste of the water. I am leaning towards the KK because of the wide openings on smaller size bottles allowing me to pour in the free ice water from WDW counter services for easier transport. Does anyone have suggestions? Also, best place to buy for the best deal - after all this is a budget board....
Thanks!
Lynn

KK is superior to sigg,I believe,b/c kk is solid stainless steel,no plastic liners,etc-
sigg is aluminum( I am wary of aluminum) and is coated with plastic inside- for my purposes,a big no-no.
they are both expensive,so I figured if I was paying 16.00 per bottle (amazon) then I wanted the stainless,no worries bottle! We love ours- and I think wherever you look, the price is just about the same.
IMHO<siggs are very pretty, but not better than their cheap plastic counterparts, healthwise.

Target has a stainless steel water bottles very similar in shape to the Klean Kanteen. The brand is "h2go ss" and I've seen them in random places in various Targets - on end caps in the food section, in the automotive section, in the water filter section, in the camping section...anywhere but where the other water bottles are (so NOT near where they keep the Siggs...not sure why). They are only $9.99 versus the $15-$20 for a similar sized KK. I've seen them in various colors (metallic red, blue, green, orange, and plain silver/stainless steel) and a couple with designs (a swirly tree branch with a green bird and just black swirly patterns, both on the silver/stainless steel background).

So, you might want to check your local Target and wander around. Check where the other water bottles are of course, maybe the Targets near me are just strange, but also check the other areas of the store. They're a great value if you can find them at half the price I paid for my same-size brand name Klean Kanteen.

I'm very happy with my Klean Kanteen. One thing I've found useful is a neoprene sleeve I bought for it, which helps to insulate it plus I don't have to deal with condensation on the bottle. I bought both at ReusableBags.com, which has sales pretty frequently. Good luck!

I have one of those bottles from Target to see if I liked the metal ones. I wanted one with a wide mouth so I could put regular ice cubes in it easily. I guess it's OK, but I like the plastic bottles better. The metal ones get really cold on the outside. I guess I'll look at the sleeves that peggster posted.

I love my Camelbak Better Bottle. I also have the neoprene sleeve.

I'm not sure how good they will be but I just bought some at Walgreens. They were three for $10 and stainless steel. The mouths were wide enough to put in ice too. I thought for the price they were perfect for the kids.

I definitely recommend getting an insulated sleeve for any of the metal water bottles to reduce sweat. I think this size one is the one that fits the 18 oz. stainless steel bottles I saw at Target because I think it's the size I got for my same-size Klean Kanteen.

I have a Sigg and a bottle by h2go (got this from our local PBS station for our pledge.) The Sigg is okay; the one I ordered is a little too large, but it keeps the water pretty cold. I like the h2go because it is smaller (easier for me to handle). Both fit ice cubes, although the mouth of the h2go is a bit wider. I use the h2go on a daily basis; I bring it to work with water from our tap.

hey there! I have two SIGG water bottles, and I can assure you that neither of them are coated in plastic, or have any interior coating of any kind. I'm not sure where you got your info - as I've had the one bottle for a couple years, but it's dated at best.

I chose the SIGG because at the time, NEITHER was making a wide-mouth bottle, and I prefered the operation of the SIGG's sport top - it's completely leak proof. Since then, both SIGG and KK have made wide mouth bottles - and I'll probably get a KK one, just to test it out and see the difference --- I DO love the way the SIGG's look.

I used my smaller SIGG at the parks, stuffing it into the side pouch on my Heys Travelmate bag with no problems --- it worked AMAZINGLY well.

If money were no object, I'd get a U.S. Canteen with a hanging pouch - they make one that can hold a few items and that looks like a FANTASTIC Disney set up, but at almost $100, it makes KK and SIGG look downright thrifty! :cool1:

I just got 3 KK and love them. We got a large 40 oz for taking water along on car trips and on weekend days that we are out and about. I also got a 27oz. that is smaller and easier to carry around. It also fits on my husbands bike as he bikes to work. Lastly I got a small 12oz one with a sippy cup attachment for my 6 mo. We got them from healthegoods.com. They arrived in 3 days and they have all kinds of different cap options and colors. I also got the stainless steel ice cube tray that I use to portion and freeze the baby food that I make at home.

I liked the Sigg designs, but could not just get past the small opening. I got a 12 oz KK (I wanted a smaller one, not like I"m trekking far from water for a refill.) As others said, a neoprene sleeve makes it much more user friendly. I got just one for a 12oz can at a discount store. (Not the foam can cozy things, a neoprene one.) Bonus- the sleeve is cute colors and "fun", so I don't care so much the KK is just silver.

My mom picked me up the KK on clearance at our local sporting goods store.
