Kitty keeps sneezing! Is it allergies or a cold?

I have a almost 2 year old cat who has been sneezing quite a bit in the past few days. She's still behaving normally, eating well, using the litter box normally, and playing as much as she usually does. Basically she's normal; the only real difference is her sneezing. She only seems to sneeze at night and what she's sneezing is clear.

Is this vet-worthy or am I worrying too much?

anytime you can tell a cat is sick, it's time to see the vet. Take her in.

My mom's cat does this she took him to the vet and they said it is a nervous tick.....it could be a cold. allergies or even nerves...take your kitty to the vet to get some meds....I hope she feels better soon

Maybe she has developed an allergy to you! LOL Seriously, though, is there anything new in the environment, like new toys, new carpet, new perfume,new laundry detergent, etc. My mom's cat is allergic to everything.

I disagree about the vet. If she is eating, drinking, going to the bathroom and otherwise behaving normally, I wouldn't take her in. Cats get colds, just like people. If she starts behaving abnormally, take her in to be checked out. Just like people, cats can develop a secondary bacterial infection sometimes. Mine had calcivirus and it started like a cold, but then he started not eating and being lethargic. I took him into the vet and they gave him antibiotics.

My now 7 month old kitten had a sneeze when I got her. We thought it was dust or something since she kept going under the couch..but I read up on it, and every site advises that with a kitten, better safe than sorry. I took her to the vet, and she had an upper respiratory infection and needed antibiotics. Cleared up in a few days and she's been a nutjob ever since. Adult cats can get colds and they are better at fighting off infections. Kittens are still very little and like a child, need special care. Take the kitty in, and I hope whatever it is passes quickly!
