Yes, I've heard of the Kitchen Sink at Beaches & Cream...No I haven't yet tried it...BUT...

I just saw a couple of videos on You Tube of the making of a Kitchen Sink and am seriously thinking of figuring a way to fit it into our upcoming trip...

Just a couple of questions...

Both videos I saw had the same 8 scopps of ice cream (2 vanilla, 2 chocolate, 2 strawberry, 1 mint chc chip and 1 coffee). I noticed there are other flavors on the menu...can you choose your 8 scoops or is it pre-determined?

Also, we are on DXDP...does anyone know if one kitchen sink can count as 4 desserts (we are 3 adults and 1 child) on DxDP...or is it paid OP? Honestly I would just do kitchn sink as lunch with nothing else...one of the reasons I haven't had it is because we usually do DxDP and I'm not sure if we can get KS on the plan and if not...we already have so much food...the KS would surely take us over the top...

Thanks

The kitchen sink is not available on the dining plan, unfortunately. You'd have to pay OOP and it's $24.

Just a tip on Beaches & Cream - it's small and they don't take ADRs, so the best time to go is when they open at 11am. At any other point in the day, there will almost always be a wait.

I really want to try it do but with all of the desserts on the ddp, I just can't justify it. We even got mostly grapes and carrots last year for our CS desserts but we didn't need anymore!

OMG it's awesome when they bring it out. We had 4 of us and on the menu it says serves 4 so we decide to do it. They have sirens that go off and they announce it and bring it over!

So this group of college aged kids see this going on and the staff doing something special and they assume it's our bday which it is not and they start singing happy bday! The whole restaurant starts chiming in at this point.

My 10 year old is yelling out "It is not our bday!" I wanted to crawl under the table at that point. lol.

We knew it was going to be absurdly huge but it was even bigger than that. We got a few good laughs that night though!

While that's almost always going to be true, the last time I went there in December 2010 at 8:30 PM I walked right in because there was a couple of tables and no one else was waiting. Plus during my whole time there not once did a wait ever start outside, so I guess it happened to be an off night.

OP, do you have a Friendly's Restaurant where you live? If so, they have a sundae called the Crowd Pleaser which is 12 scoops! And you get to pick, and I belive it's about $13. Along the same lines. Sure it's not served in the cool kitchen sink dish but very similar!

Thanks...it's not really about the ice cream as much as the experience...the whole can of whip cream really interests DH...as others have said there are more than enough desserts on DxDP..It's just something we may like to try...

If we do try it it would be on our EPCOT day...we'll skip lunch and go for the KS...maybe...we have some 2 credit ADRS so we won't waste our DxDP and as far as snack credits we always have extra at the end and just get snacks and lollipops and such for the plane ride home and home...Plus there's alwasy Dads sundae a Prime Time 50's...
