Kitchen Nightmares........I couldn't watch it.

I tried, really I did.....but it was awful. I just can't do it..........the risk of NEVER eating in a restaurant again is very real when I get too grossed out by something, and this was CLOSE. Oh mannnnnn......what an awful show.

How are any of you able to watch this one?

Me too, I like Ramsey and how he turns things around for the Owners. Some of them are CLUELESS when it comes to staff and how to operate a resteraunt.

We live in NY and this is why we never eat out. The only time I go to a restaurant is when I am on vacation - which is only either Disney or the NJ shore.

Last month we went to a play on Broadway. We were walking around looking at the menus in windows. As we crossed the street we had to step over a squashed rat. Can you imagine what is in the basements of all these restaurants? I used to ride the subway to work, and you could watch them running up and down the tracks.

I watched last night, but I DVR everything and we fastforwarded past the really nasty parts. I just can't believe the health department isn't more on top of things. I know they are probably understaffed, blah, blah, blah but they have a responsibiliy to the tax payers to make sure things like what was shown last night aren't going on. And I find it hard to believe that anyone will watch that show and then choose to go BACK to that restaurant even after it was turned around.

But I do love watching it!

I watch it and last weeks was so funny. It was about Peters Italian restaurant. The guy thought he was from good fellas.

Last night was awful. I gagged. I couldn't watch it. I went on the computer in the next room and listened to the show.

I love Gordon Ramsay He tells it like it is.

I hope this show makes it-but it's up against some tough competition.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the show!!! I also watch the original on BBC. (His other show on the BBC "The F Word" is great too!) I am totally hooked on this, even more than Hell's Kitchen! I think Gordon Ramsey is wonder & sexy!! Did anyone see his interview with Larry King? I felt so bad for him about his father & brother, but he was so honest & straightforward about his life.....it was a really good interview.

I admit I had a teeny gag reflex just once, but I am pregnant so that happens often I LOVED this show!!!!! The way he treated the General Manager was just perfectly brilliant! That guy was such a lazy bum! We also watch the BBC version of the show when it comes on and I find the US version to be filled with even more "OMG" moments due to who they find. We must be more off the wall here in the US than in the UK I never really watched Hells Kitchen untli we got hooked on the UK version of the show, but now I really love Gordon Ramsey. He is just awesome and tells it like it is!

Thanks for your replies....it's not that I didn't enjoy the show just that I was completely grossed out by what he found in that kitchen. It was beyond horrible!! LOL

And yeah how about that general manager? Talk about addicted to instant messaging/cell phones! The guy was NEVER off the phone.....what a lazy slug to be taking a paycheck for what he was doing. How sad and how appropriate that he caved under the pressure. That was great.
