Hi,
I'm trying to find out as much as possible before booking here. Just wondering what kinds of kitchen supplies are provided? Do you get real dishes/silverware or disposables? What's the pots and pans selection like? Any help greatly appreciated.

The one bedroom and larger units are stocked just like the WDW DVC units. You get real everything including an 8 piece cookware set.

The studios and Inn rooms are stocked just like all other DVC studios -- you get real glasses and coffee mugs and a start up set of paper plates/bowls/plastic ware.

Gator Kate,
I just returned from VB. I cooked the whole trip. I found everything I needed there. And if its not you can improvise. Like there wasn't a glass measuring cup. I just used the plastic ones in different sizes that you would you use for solids.

If you are going to need a blender take one. There isn't one of those.

And I still wonder if it would be allowed to cook on the balcony with a small grill. It sure would have made things a little more convient when we cooked steaks. We went to the little parks right next to the resort. And then rushed back for the veggies & bread. It was a wonderful meal though.

It was great. Not much storage space for a lot of groceries. If you were staying 2 weeks or 10 days and bought a bunch of groceries, I am not sure where you would store them. Enough room for 4 or 5 nights worth though.

Have a blast!

Grilling on the balconies isn't permitted since it's a potential fire hazard.

Did you ask for a blender and they didn't have them? Sometimes I've found "ask and you shall receive" works for a lot of missing items. I think that's how they started putting the toasters into the studios since it was requested fairly often (especially after people like me learned you could do that from reading these boards). :)

Thanks so much for the useful info PamOKW and July. Sure hope I can make it there this summer.

There's a fridge for the beer, and an opener for the wine.
What more could one ask for??? :teeth:

But a blender is necessary for getting our fruits -- pina coladas, strawberry daiquiris, frozen margaritas (limes), ;)

Although I have to say the pina coladas made by Bleachers are deeeeeelicious!

Well MG, I was kinda craving a frozen Margarita. And when I get a few in me, I better be in the room :teeth: .

Pam no I didn't ask. I did not see it on the list so I didn't think it was a possibility. Darn it!! Are you telling me I could have just asked.

Okay, next one down to VB, check and see if there's a blender --- hey I think Floridafam is still there.....let's see if she can get the answer to this crucial question. Then we can work on scheduling a party at VB for all of us! :)
