Kirby Vacuum for hardwood floors

I have a Dyson now and I love it it is just getting old and have been thinking about a Kirby for a long time. But we just recently pulled up the carpet in the house and had the hardwood floors redone. we have carpet in our bedroom.

Does any one with hardwood floors have a Kirby.

My mom did for the past 53 years. I can't speak to the Dyson, but we took our Riccar over while cleaning out her house after we sold it, and the 53 year old Kirby still did a far better job.

I have a Kirby originally bought when we had mostly carpet. I love the carpet shampooer part.

Don't have wood floors, but I have used it on tile kitchen floors. For non carpet floors I use the extension pieces and a sweeper attachment.
