Kingdom Keepers Quest

I think it's great that you encourage your child to read I have been buying series books for my boys since they were 4. We have NErDS, Artemis Fowl, kingdom keepers, Big Nate, and others. It gets expensive but considering that all my middle schoolers are reading at high school or above and love to read, it's worth it!

Anyone done this recently? I picked up the Birnbaums pocket parks guide 2013 with kingdom keeper quest. But I'm not sure if the keeper code is matching up with the quest. Some the of the paragraphs it sends me to says to go to line 8 and there are only 2 lines in the paragraph. Anyone else run into this problem?

I finished it. I know what your talking about but you will be able to figure it out. The crossword does not have to be completely solved to get the clue either.

I've been wondering about this series and maybe someone here could help me. I am wondering about content. My dd 7 would have no problem reading the books, but she is emotionally immature for her age. I was wondering if these books would be appropriate for her? The reviews I've seen say they are for older kids around 10-14. I didn't know if that was because of the difficulty level or content.

Just scanning through threads and came across this topic. I am an adult fan of the books and I would agree with the other people that have posted about the content. It's definitely not Harry Potter level, but there is a group of teenagers which leads to some romantic relationships that get a little complicated and there is also a lot of discussing of "backstage stuff" especially in regards to the characters so it could probably spoil the magic a little for someone who might not understand the character situation entirely. Additionally, the sixth book gets a little darker than I suspected it ever would involving a character death. However, the books are really great (not the highest quality of writing) but they provide a really fun story about Disney!
