King Kong Photo OP

I was heartbroken (not half as bad as the kidlets) when I read that Kongfrontation was gone from US. We have not been to FL since 2000 and had no idea. Will someone please, please, please tell me that at least the big hand and head photo op is still there somewhere. I was so hoping to get a new pic of the kids whith Kong.

"Revenge of the Mummy" took its place. I loved 'Kongfrontation", but as I am told they have to keep up with the changing times. The Mummy is a awesome ride though!!!

We are very excited to ride ROTM but sure will miss Kong. I was jsut hoping maybe they kept the photo op and set it up somewhere. That would still be a big draw I bet with very little maintainance or cost. Everybody wants to get their pic taken with the mighty kong!

I think the Kong from the NYC premier is set up at US Hollywood.

Not really on the subject,but i have a hard hat from when kong was being built. it has stickers that say kong and some great pictures of the model set that were used during the planmning phase of the ride. I wonder if they would do good on ebay?

I too am very upset they took out Kong . We haven't been to the parks since at least 2000 also . Should we be looking for certain rides that are new that we shouldn't miss? We are on site and have passes for something like 5-7 days so we have plenty of time.
