King Beds at POR

We leave for POR on Sunday and have paid for a king bed room so we will be sure to get one. I was wondering where the king beds are - mansions or bayoo (we would prefer mansions), are they on ground floor only or any level, etc. We don't want to send in a room request by fax b/c it's not that big of a deal, however, could we ask at check in for a mansion room? It's not a big deal if we have to wait longer to get that room since we are checking in early anyway and don't think our room would be ready either way. We don't plan on making it back to our room until 10pm.

We had a King bed last year..Bayoo room on the second floor, corner room.

Don't know if they are available in the mansions. We did not have to wait to check in - we arrived early and the room was ready when we got there at 11:00 am.

We've had King rooms at POR twice, once in mansions-Acadian House, upper floor, not corner. The other time was bayou, first floor of building 17. Preferred Mansions, but then I always prefer an upper floor room.

thanks njmousefan and simba's mom - it seems like they are pretty much anywhere around the resort. I'll still ask at check in for a mansion room and keep my fingers crossed until then.

We stayed in a king bed room in Acadian House, 3rd floor, right above the butterfly garden overlooking the river for our wedding/honeymoon. The room # was 8420 (can you tell I've been working on our scrapbook otherwise I'd have no clue!!) We loved the location of our room
