Hi Everyone: I realize this is more of an "ad" for this new videogame. However based on the interest in Epic Mickey last year, I thought some people might be interested in this new game. It looks pretty cool. Dave

Well, this looks actually pretty cool! May be the ultimate cap for christmas after our trip.

Oh my gosh, I had no idea this was coming out! I can hardly wait! DS has an Xbox but I may have to figure out how to get my very own so I can go to Disneyland whenever my little heart desires!

Those pic look really nice. We have an Xbox but the downside is, we don't have 8 ft between our sofa and our tv. More like 5ft. :sad2:

So my DH is in the Ent and Devices division at MS. There was something he said about the space issue being changed... I'll see if I can find out.

Decrease the space needed to play your favorite Kinect games with Nyko’s Zoom for Kinect. The Zoom reduces the play range required to enjoy Kinect software by up to 40%, allowing you to play closer to your TV. Zoom’s wide angle lens also enables two people to play in an area normally only suitable for a single player making it ideal for those in smaller apartments or dorm rooms. Specially designed optical lenses fit over the Kinect sensor and clip into place making set up a breeze with nothing to plug in. No additional software or calibration is required. The design of the Zoom blends seamlessly with the look and feel of the Kinect. The Zoom opens up a whole new world of Kinect play to those who previously lacked the space required to fully enjoy it.

The Zoom was nominated for Best Hardware in Show at E3 by IGN, GameSpot, Machinima and G4 X-Play - but Microsoft clearly wasn't quite so impressed.

CVG asked MS this morning if the device was officially approved and endorsed by Xbox. A company spokesperson replied:

"Kinect has been tested for performance, accuracy and environmental conditions thoroughly. Any modification can impact the overall performance of Kinect."

Nyko says it is "proud of the design and technology accomplishments achieved with the Zoom", and has taken out multiple patents to "ensure the first and only play space reduction lens for Kinect remains a mainstay of the Nyko line".

Interesting! I hope it works like they claim! It seems silly that another company had to "correct" an obvious design flaw. I guess that would be something to look in to and see how it goes. I don't know what they were thinking. Most people don't have that much space between the tv and furniture- even if they do have a large house.

Kinect Disneyland Adventures will be available on Xbox 360 November 15.

This is on my Christmas wish list. Glad I bought that Kinnect last year:thumbsup2. Now I will be able to go to DL any time I want:love:

OK, I must really be a true Disneyland addict. I bought my very own Xbox with Kinect just so I can play this game whenever I want. I took a vacation day last year when Epic Mickey came out just so I could stay home and play it. My boss still teases me about it. Anyway, after 3 different week long trips to DLR this year and a bunch of other trips, I don't have a vacation day to spare on 11/15. My boss knows this game is coming out then and has already asked if I think I'll be feeling sick that day. :) Oh and, by the way, I'm 51. I guess Disney keeps me young at heart!

I have it preordered already. I just need to get a kinect. I also need to figure out which xbox we are going to put it on.

We preordered ours from Amazon. This will be a great Christmas gift for the kids so we can enjoy Disneyland all year round.

Okay, you guys got me all wound up again. :lmao: I have been going nuts for this game since I heard it was coming out. I got really excited when they released just a little glimpse of the Peter Pan portion a couple of months ago, but now seeing everything that is going to be on it I'm about bouncing out of my chair! I've already told DH, it is the No. 1 item on my Christmas list. Thanks for reminding me I should gently (or maybe not so gently as sublety seems to get right by him ) suggest that he pre-order it now. I just don't know if I can wait until Christmas. He would kill me if I bought it for myself though. I'm not allowed to buy anything for myself after November 1, because he is always trying to figure out what to get me for Christmas and usually his parents and my Mom make him figure out what they are getting me too. HMMM, I just remembered that DD is going to be getting Kinectimals and some other Kinect game for Christmas- she better not try to infringe on my time playing this game!
