You went to a school where the weather gets to 106 and you had no AC?How hot would it be in the building? 120? Sounds unsafe healthwise.
Helene said they cant open the windowsTons of kids, no AC and no fresh air. Frankly, that sounds disgusting.
Heleneare you in "Chen" or NSkook (trying to be discreet). If it is "Chen", then I feel so sorry for you. The number of illegal immigrants feeding into that district could rival any school nationwide. So sad that children of legal, taxpaying citizens are paying the price for this
I don't know how this is happening.
If it got too hot inside, the teacher were take us outside and hold class in the shade on the grass. They just put AC in the schools here over the last 10 years with grants from Bush's No Child Left Behind program. Most of the schools here were built after WW II to hold all those baby boomers, I think like 80% were built between 1950 and 1960 with no A/C.
The kids I feel sorry for are the one's who grew up in this area 150 years ago. No AC in the schools, and they spent June, July and August out in the hot sun working on their family farm!
