Is the quickservice location at Kindani located near the main pool area. How far are the two? TIApixiedust:

Mara, AKL's CS location, is in Jambo NOT Kidani. At Kidani, your eating choices are either Sannaa (TS), Grab-N-Go offerings at the pool bar or ordering in-room dining.

Here are 2 photos of the pool food service area:

I thought I had a photo of the menu but I don't. They serve your regular cold sandwiches and salads and the food was really good. DD and I shared a turkey sandwich on our arrival day while we waited for other DD and her family to arrive.

You may want to search resort menus if you're interested in what is served. I'll look through my file; if I find a menu, I'll post it for you. :tink:

Kidani Village is about 1/2 mile from Jambo House. That's about ten minutes walking at a normal pace. Or seven minutes with little kids who want to run part of the time.

In the above 2nd picture you see the green numbers that go on your table when you place an order. Right next to them is a phone and menu where you order food from in room dining. It is an extensive menu and we have ordered from there many times. We never had the need to walk over to the CS at Jambo because there were enough options from in room dining for our family to choose from. They bring the food out to your table and you pay the server directly.

Question, does this require Room Service credits if you are on the dining plan?

Yes, when we were there last August, I believe they stated it would cost two table service credits, so I chose to pay out of pocket.

The food was delicious! They said it would take 45 minutes to an hour to arrive, but the food arrived in 15 minutes. The service was polite and friendly. It was a wonderful experience in every way.

We loved the mango pudding. The serving sizes were huge (easy to share one meal), and the Bento boxes are so cool! I loved it, and I will definitely do it again. It was a great experience.

Here is the menu:

Turkey Club Sandwich - served on multigrain bread with turkey bacon, vine-ripened tomatoe, and mayonnaise with chickpea salad $13.49

Tandoori Chicken - served on Naan bread with red bell pepper hummus, minted greens, tomato, onion, and cucumber-yogurt raita $16.99

Tandoori Angus Chuck Burger - served on Naan bread with minted greens, tomato, onion, and cucumber-yogurt raita $13.99

Tandoori Shrimp - served on Naan bread with red bell pepper hummus, minted greens, tomato, onion, and cucumber-yogurt raita $16.99

Vegetable Chickpea Salad - served on Naan bread with red bell pepper hummus, minted greens, tomato, onion, and cucumber-yogurt raita $16.99

Grilled Lamb Kefka - served on Naan bread with red bell pepper hummus, minted greens, tomato, onion, and cucumber-yogurt raita $14.49

So that right there might be something someone on the DDP would want to know ahead of time.

I loved those Bento boxes too!:thumbsup2
It also only took about 15 minutes for our food to arrive. We don't do the DDP, but I found the prices for the food to be reasonable for the convienence. The kids meal was great too and came with delicious chocolate cake! Oh, I wanted to add that when the server brought the food to the table I was asked if I wanted to eat at my loung chair that was closer to the pool. I said sure and he brought the food over for me, it was great!

Do the kids meals also come in a bento box? DD would love that. We'll be paying OOP, so if they don't, then maybe I'll just let her share my meal.

Are you able to modify the sides at all? Say, change to fries? My DH is not an adventurous eater and while everything looks super yummy to me, he would not eat chickpea salad.
