Does Mouse Keeping still do the neat little tricks with the towels making animals and such. My DD that is nine has been down with us for 5 years now and keeps her fingers crossed that it will happen to her in her room. 5 times to WDW and she never had it happen. Is this myth or for real?

Yes, towel animals are for real. It is up to the individual mousekeeper. Some don't know how to make them. Why not ask a mousekeeper to make one for her? Perhaps if your mousekeeper doesn't know how, she will ask another.

I have stayed at BVW once in studio and one in one bedroom there was an animal made with the bath towels both times. The girls loved them!!!

We got "towel animals" every time we stayed at a WDW resort, but never since we've stayed at DVC. I think that mousekeeping is too busy getting the rooms ready for people checking in and wanting to get into their rooms early! :teeth:

We have had mousekeeping do a little arranging of the my daughters' stuffed animals when they were younger. But no towel animals. As indicated, not a big deal but it's amazing what each of us (including little ones) looks forward to about our trips. Often, it's the little details that add so much. :)

Even at DVC, we've had a towel animal. They made us a little octopus to keep our toothbrushes in. We've also had them every other time we've stayed at a WDW resort.

We just had little fishies at OKW last week. Very cute

I've been going to WDW every couple of years since the 70s and I'm now a BCV member. Sorry, but in what must be 15 or 20 visits I've never had a towel animal. I hope it wasn't something I ate!

We've seemed to have luck at the BWV, but no where else. It's a nice suprise when it happens!

I got towels rolled into a Mickey with ears on the VWL studio bed! Best was Christmas of 98 when the kids animals would be rearranged by our Mousekeeper at (then) Dixie Landings. My favorite was the water slide (garbage bag) with all the animals cheering, even one with sunglasses!

We went last Nov-Dec and stayed at OKW, and a towel mouse was waiting for us.

We usually have them at OKW. Last time it was a beautiful pair of swans sitting on the ledge between the bedroom and the whirlpool tub.

I've gotten towel creations at Hilton Head- octopus and Mickey head, SSR - horse, OKW- bunny, and many times at BWV - the latest looked like a clown with the stickers on it. I've also stayed at Vero and BCV on several occasions but I don't remember getting anything at either resort.

I thought everyone was getting them at this point......guess we've just been lucky.

We got our first one at BWV in March!

DH and I had the Mickey icon waiting on our bed at VWL end of February.
I thought it was really cute.

Our first trip ever to WDW we stayed at ASMo. Mousekeeping there did something cute in the room everyday, always had the kids stuffies arranged.

I know it has happend more than once, but the only time I can think of right now is Jan06 at SSR. When we got to the room there was a monkey hanging from the mirror you see when you walk in.

We haven't had any towel animals more times than we've had them We're really excited when we do get one.

at SSR a horse & a penquin & HHI an octupus.

Do you think the towel animals might come out and play when the mousekeeper has less mess to clean? We had the towel animals when we stayed at Carribbean (w/o kids) and none at POR (w/ kids - aka the mess makers)
