Due to an illness in the family, we've postponed our trip to the World twice already. The last one we did I tried to have it coincide with any FD offers (which we have never received before) plus my Aeroplan mile openings. We originally booked 6 nights at POR, but paid for the dining. Now we have FD, 8 nights and we're getting $250 credit back on my card!:cool1:
Why's it a 'kind of' excitement? We're going the first week of February. Basically, it will be too cool for the kids to enjoy swimming. Just hope it's not too cool to enjoy Orlando in general!:confused3

We've done February twice and yes, you may need a sweater some day, but the parks are much less busy and the pools are okay for kids to swim in.
February is underrated ....

As Ted said, the weather should be fine for the kids to hit the pool. The coolest time in Orlando tends to be mid/late Dec to mid Jan. Crank that "kind of" up to "REALLY" and have a great trip! :thumbsup2

Hey Tower, we'll be there the same time! Bring on the positive vibes for warm weather!
With the El Nino effect here meaning a warmer, more snowy January, I'm hoping for a warmer February in Mickeyland! I'll be looking for those lime green Mickey's when we're there!

I wouldn't rule out swimming in the mid afternoon. I have done so in the past. At that time of year the temperature varies alot and some years you can swim and others you need a sweater alll day. Check the wether closer to your dates. You never know, you might have a pleasant surprise

We are going the same time. We went last year for the same week and the weather was nice. We swam at the beginning of the trip and were able to wear jeans on most days, but would have still been comfortable in shorts. The day we left it was cold, we were at Downtown Disney and I wore my winter coat and was comfortable.

The crowds were great, especially EMH on Superbowl Sunday, we aren't football fans.

We went in January 2010, it was a very cold winter in florida terms, we still wore capris and such, never more then a light sweater.
The kids and DH went swimming but only in the afternoon, people were swimming in the evening but I found it to cold.

Enjoy your trip!
