Kill Bill was meh, Quentin Tarantino movies are typically not my favorite.
However, I actually liked Pulp Fiction. I think it is because everyone in my circle back in 1994 hated it and said I wouldn't like it. Therefore, I went in thinking it was going to be awful, and I was surprised when I actually enjoyed it. I can appreciate how QT has the audience laughing at the most inappropriate times. That's not something easily achieved.
Funny how when people rave or rant about a movie you go in with preconceived notion on what you will think. I find more often than not when people I know tell me how much they loved this movie and I have to go see it I end up going in with too high of an expectation and thinking it was just ok. I have learned I need to see movies before the bandwagon starts because when you hype it up too much my expectations are set too high.
