My family and I are going to WDW at the end of Feb. for the first time. I am trying to do as much research and planning ahead of time as possible. I was curious to know if you can take an infant on Kilimanjaro Safari's with the family? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

No height restrictions on this ride, so Yes you can! My ds has been on it at 13, 17, and 20 months old.

Can you do this if you are not staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge? Is this the one that is a safari excursion to see the animals walking around the savannah? If so what is the cost for this? Thanks+

Left 210: Kilimanjaro Safari is a ride at Animal Kingdom park. The safari you are asking about is called the Sunrise Safari. It was once only open to AKL concierge guests, but I believe is open now to anyone staying at concierge levels of all WDW resorts.

I heard there may be an evening safari now? Check allearsnet.com for more info...

We took DS on it when he was around 6 weeks old. We just made sure to hold him close and cushion him from the bumps. We were worried at first but afterwards we saw it wasn't a problem.

We took our 6 month on it and she LOVED it! It isn't too jerky and it wasn't hard to hold her close, she stood on our laps and enjoyed every minute of it, I would highly recommend it.

this ride always seemed to put my kids to sleep. Maybe the riding in the car/bumping motion.....who knows!

I would encourage you to ask for a seat closer to the front with your baby. When we rode on this last year we were seated in the last row and it was incredibly bumpy! We laughed and had a "real adventure", but with a baby I'd want to sit up front. Just a suggestion.

We got back 2 weeks ago from a week at WDW and my 2 year old DD loved Kil. Safari. My DH and I put her between us on the seat and she had no problems with the ride at all - well, ok she had one problem - she couldn't get out and pet the animals.
