I know all of our kids have words for things that arent neccesarily right ( or even close lol)

Care to share some?

Kate calls bananas " Boonnie nanas" I have No Idea why!

Cam used to call Safeway " Weeb Weeb" again, no idea.

Hastings was "ding dings"

LOL

So what do your kids call things?

My son calls shivers (as in down your back) the shivles.

Poison Oak: Poison Snoke (for some reason this cracks me up!)
Gymnastics: Gynnackicks
Marshall's (the store): Martian's
and my all-time favorite: Snow White and the Seven Hoares

My DD (16) used to call a cornucopia a "corn-a-phobia" -- my DH said that was a fear of corn!

Also, one time, not too many years ago, right before she went to sleep one night, she picked up her Kanga and Roo stuffed animal and said, "Hey Mom, I get it! KANGA and ROO, Kangaroo!"

I just looked at her and said OMG! I couldn't believe she never put that together!!!

older dd never mispronounced anything. she wouldn't say a word unless she felt confident she would say it properly.

younger dd was very smart, picked up on things so quickly. she learned huge words when just a toddler.

when she was learning the my-your distinction, we heard:

me: "I'm going to Miami"

she: "you are going to Yourami."

me: don't put that on your wrist, it will cut off your circulation."

she: "what is circmylation?"

my DD used to call her diary a " diarrhea"

one of my kindergarteners called a trampoline a "jumpolene" know that's what I call it

My 8yo DD still calls the main part of malls the "loud place". If we go into an anchor store she'll ask if we are going to the "loud place" or ask to go there. I really don't remember when she started but she's always called it that.
