Ok, I went overboard this year buying princess, etc costumes for DD, who will be 1 yo in Oct, for when we go to DW. I even have the snow white wig, and all matching princess shoes. She is only 7.5 months now, and loves trying on her costumes (due to mommy's reactions!). If she doesn't mind it, would you leave her dressed in the costume all day? I will take an extra outfit to the park each day regardless. The costumes are the bodysuit style, with the tulle on sections. I'll probaby do Snow White for the Storybook breakfast, Cinderella for CRT, pooh for CP, and Minnie for Chef Mickey's (dinner). I don't recall ever seeing a lot of kids dressed in their costumes in the parks, but I know she already loves the attention!

My dds (6,4 and 3) dressed up for CRT. I had brought a change of clothes for them to change into immediately after breakfast. Yeah, right.... there was NO WAY they were going to take off those cosutmes. We spent half the day at MK and then went over to MGM. I couldn't even get them to take off the costumes for the bus ride. They got SO MUCH attention (of course, they were adorable :D ).
Truth be told, we never saw another child in a costume after about 11:00 AM so I felt like we stuck out like a sore thumb---but the girls LOVED it and it was probably the highlight of their trip. In fact, we will probably never wear regular clothes at Disney again!!!!!
I realize my girls are a little older than your daughter, but if your daughter doesn't object, I say go for it. She will be the hit of the day and I'm sure you will enjoy watching everyone oooooh over her. HAVE FUN!

I think it's a cute idea. Just be sure to check for signs of discomfort or overheating frequently. She won't be able to tell you that she's uncomfortable. -HM

frannn,
we must think alike! my dd will be 16 mos when we go and I can't wait to start buying costumes! i worried about feeling silly having such a small child dressed up, but think of the pictures!
dd is 7 1/2 mos now also, and she as well is quite a ham already. i may be creating a monster...but i've waited many years for a little girl. i figure that she's my princess, so she may as well dress the part...LOL :)

i say as long as your daughter seems comfortable, go for it! we grow up way too fast, take that extra attention while they can still get it, huh?!;)

DD (3yrs) wore her Snow White outfit all day & finally met Snow White. She kept the outfit on to spectromagic & happy picked her out & came over to her. There were a couple of others in the park, but she certainly got alot more attention from both the characrtes & CMs
