What did you have on and at your kids table? Decor, games, toys, etc? Im thinking kids will probably eat dinner with their parents (maybe) but after they can go play at the table or dance around..do you think this is a good idea? What did you do?

I bought a dollhouse from Michaels, put it together, painted it with Up! inspired colors, then asked my florist to place some balloons in it, it looked amazing and made it visible and very inviting for the kids.

My florist and planner went the extra mile and added a writeable table cloth so the kids could draw on it or use the coloring books I provided (I got a bunch of cool Disney ones from the dollar store along with a giant pack of crayons in all different shades and colors). I also bought a small polly-pocket size set of Tinkerbell dolls so my nieces could play with the dollhouse and a pack of plastic princess jewelry with necklaces and giant rings, etc. I didn't add any candy because we had more than enough sweets as it was!

Well, it was a HIT! The adults couldn't resist the table either and nearly every single guest ended up drawing on it/leaving fun messages on it. My planner packed the tablecloth for us along with everything else and we had it as a surprise when we unpacked all our wedding stuff. It was awesome! :thumbsup2

My nieces kept the dollhouse, faeries, they also kept some of the coloring books and my nephews got the cooler boy related ones. They divided up the balloons between themselves as well. The jewelry went with whoever wanted a piece, the rings were very popular!

Edited to add:
I also had a game of Go Fish! And a memory card game in there, one was little pet shop themed, the other was Disney themed. Wanted to make sure there was more stuff to play with!

I am having a kids table...they are lowering the table so the kids can sit on the floor or on their knees and play. There are also going to be pillows and blankets around (my reception starts at 9pm and goes til 1:30am) We originally had it set up to have a tv and dvd player in the corner but then figured the music would be too loud for them to hear anyways. We are having the drawing paper as a tablecloth. I have been picking up things here and there--all disney. Michaels had some disney crayons, markers, coloring books, stickers, puzzles on sale for $1 so I bought them, and so did Target.

Um. Hello, Property Control!

That is such a great idea for the kids! I kinda want all of the kids at our wedding dancing and having fun but I'm thinking a kids' table with games and perhaps a TV/DVD station stashed back in one of the corners will be a good idea?
