kids savings acct???

when setting up a savings acct for a child, do I put my name as primary or his? does it matter?

I'mmnot sure if it is a uniform gift to minors account...but our kids' accounts are in their name and DH is listed as custodian.

It would be a Uniform Gift to Minors Account. And make sure to put the child's social security number i on the account so you don't have interest reported as your income.
Which reminds me, I have to take my name off my 23 year old's stocks!
