Has anyone used the kids programs at Vistana Villages? We will be there is July and have 4, 7 and 10 year olds with us. How are the programs? Are there as many things to do as it says on the website. Do they have a specific schedule? Do they mix the groups together? How are the counselors?

If anyone has any info I would greatly appreciate it>

Thanks,

We recently stayed at Vistana RESORT... And, I noticed that online, there was a schedule of the usual weekly activities. This included kids activities. There did seem to be several things planned for kids.

We left DS with the kids club on the night they have what they call the Pajama Party... (no kids were in pajamas!!!!) At first I was kind of reticent. My very first impression was not the greatest. But, when we picked up our son, he seemed happy. I think the kids were already sitting, laying, on mats with a movie playing (although it was set a little loud???) when we got back. DS had the neatest face painting. The person who did it was very talented. It was an alligator that curled down around from his temple and cheek, and it was done so that when he opened his mouth, the alligator opened its mouth.

So, while I had been concerned about leaving DS that evening, it did turn out well.

Hope this helps!

We love the Vistana and have stayed there twice. However, the kid programs seemed a little shoddy to me. One I was interested in was just a supervised (?) game room party, and the arts and crafts thing next to the pool was just drawing on the concrete with chalk. Maybe its changed since then (2002) though, good luck!

It's been a few years since we stayed at the Vistana Villages. Our young son participated in a couple of the activities. They didn't seem to have as many activities as the Vistana Resort. We like the kids programs at the Vistana Resort - tho. we haven't participated in any of the kids night out programs. VR has pool games (free), basketball free throw contest (free), poolside BINGO & extreme MINI Golf (very resonably priced - and you can win prizes), etc. Prizes are given to everyone that participates in the pool games and the basketball free throw (usually a free round of mini golf or a pool toy rental). The employees that work with the kids are usually very good (one guy we have seen on repeated visits so he must be a full time employee). I'm not sure if the VV does this, but the VR has a resort map that usually has a coupon for buy one, get one free for the mini golf & art activities that have a charge. When we were at the VV, they had a poolside ping pong table that was fun also.
