Has anyone done this recently? What do they do during the cruise? Which location has the best one? I'm thinking about signing up two 11 year olds for this. It says kids 4-12 years old, but is 11/12 too old to enjoy this?

I dont know about 11/12 year olds.. we put DS6 on it as a surprise birthday present. HE LOVED it!!! He couldn't stop talking about it and still talks about it. We did the one at the GF (we were staying there). They "stormed" the beaches of the hotels around the Seven Seas Lagoon and it was a giant treasure hunt and story time. I had a little spa time while he was on it. We are staying at the Poly this time because he fell in LOVE with the "Legend of the Tiki" and became adamant that we have to hang out there on our next visit. I say go for it! I think they are all about the same from the reviews that I read when we were deciding. Just go with whatever is most convenient for you- the kids will love it.

We are doing a split stay at the Poly and POFQ, so they would either do the one at GF or POR. I'm worried they might be a little old for it, but I might have them give it a try anyway.

Interested in this, too...any more info would be fantastic! My kids will be 9 and just turning 12...

My trip is October. If yours is later, I'll let you know how mine went. If yours is sooner, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know about your experience. There's not much info on this.

My son went at 4 and 5 and I'd say the other kids were 5-8 years old. He did the one at YC and GF. They were similar in that they used clues to look for a treasure. The one at YC goes into Epcot though and they get out in Canada and chase a pirate. They get a snack and drink while on the boat. They get to wear a pirate life vest and are given a bandana at the beginning. When they find the treasure everyone gets a bag they fill with the little trinkets. Rings, fake jewels, necklaces, etc.

At almost 8 I'm sure my ODS would still enjoy it. Not sure about at 11, but I'd ask them what they think.

I am sending my 11 year old in December, it seems right up his alley! :)
