Do you give thank you gifts for childrens' parties?
I am having 32 kids at an offsite pool party next week and was planning on giving a "goodie bag" (consisiting of STRIDE gum and a $5 gift card to Walmart or Target, and put in a thank you note).
A friend told me that very few people give thank you gifts and that it's no longer necessary.
Their will be 32 boys ages 10 and 11.
What do you think?

. Luckily my DD's birthday is during the summer so we can avoid the "invite the entire class" thing. I think her largest party was 10 kids so spending $5 on a goody bag wasn't that big of a deal.
I think goodie bags at parties need to be discontinued altogether. I never thought of them as thank you gifts, but I'd also never invite 32 kids to a party. I value my sanity wayyyy too much.
tehy are always hadnwritten!
