There is no way my kids will eat any of the dinner at Ohana. So I am wondering what "kid options" anyone received when requested.

Were the meals brought promptly or did the kids have to sit and wait?

Obviously I am struggling with our decision to eat there!

They won't eat the meat? Huh,my pickiest of the picky DS loved the meat there.

Did you check Allearsnet? It says that alternatives are available for kids on request. I would bet it would be mac and cheese or chicken strips.

When we went I felt like we were eating off an assembly line. One course followed another very rapidly.

When the CM noticed that our kids were declining the meat, he (without us asking) brought a platter of chicken fingers for the kids.

They may have other stuff too, if you ask.

We ate there on July 30 & I did hear a lady at the next table tell the server that her two DDs did not like anything that was to be served (her girls looked about 13 & 10yo).

I heard the server say she would bring out something else, but I didn't pay attention to what it was. I did see that the girls were happily eating a little while later.

**Our server was great btw.
DS9 tried to order POG juice with dinner & the server said that was really only for breakfast but that she'd get him some anyway.

My nephew claims he ate 14 sausages :lmao:

If they won't eat ANYTHING then you will need to ask for something else. I do know they'll do it. Don't know how quickly they'll bring it.

Personally I'd think about going somewhere that has something they WILL eat.

They always bring my DS some mac and cheese. I didn't even ask for it the first time we were there! They also offered a hot dog or chicken fingers. My DS was under three and they didn't even charge for the food they brought out for him! Just ask and they will be happy to bring you something different for the kids. BTW, we LOVE Ohana -- don't second guess your choice!

I think anything on the kids' menu at Kona is available at no extra cost. My dd who will be 8 is very picky, and we will ask for something for her. My ds10 and I will be very happy with our meal, though. I would not change my dinner plans! The kids' menu is provided for that very reason!

Yep, take a look at the Kona kid's menu - those are your options for the kid's meals.

We have had Mac and Cheese and Chicken strips in the past. The kids would get their food fairly quickly and didn't have to wait for us.

We were there in Februry - it is our favorite table service meal by far! We were not on Dining Plan, so I expected to get a kids meal for my picky 7ys son. The waiter brought him a hot dog meal with fries. When we got the bill I noticed they charged $11.99 for his hot dog . I asked the waiter if the charge was correct and he asked us if we were on Dining Plan. I told him know and he said he would get his manamger to fix it. When he came back he said he took the whole thing off - so my son ate for free. We were very appreciative of his help and ended up leaving him an even bigget tip. Hope this helps.

My girls ordered off the Kona Cafe kids menu with no complications - which is great because my youngest DD doesn't eat meat:confused:

My DD got a PB&J at Ohana on our last WDW visit. I was glad we were on the dining plan and paid about $10 for her meals that day, instead of the $10 we would have paid for that PB&J!
