Hi, wonder if someone could help me out.
I am getting mixed messages about whether children need their own passports to visit USA. Expedia say yes, passport agency not sure!!!
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks

They will need their own passports to be eligible for the Visa Waiver program. (Allows entry to the USA without having to apply for a visa. You just fill a form out on the plane).

Follow this link for advice:

Good luck.

On the link that allie5 supplied it says that kids will only need their own passport after 26 October 2002. So if you're going b4 then, u should be ok.

allie5 : What is that link ? I mean is it something official from the Government ?

Regards,

Ivor

Guys
thanks for the info.
i have looked on the site and discovered that children can travel on your passport, but then they need a visa!! (£67).

Also, my passport expires in March 2005 and they are recommending that it is changed now to avoid all of the issues of biometrics etc. etc.

So sending off for passports today!!
thanks for the help

Recheck the link. It says kids are eligible to travel under the visa waiver prior to oct 26 2004 even if on a parents passport. After that date they will need a visa.
