Kids on DDP?

We booked the kids stay and play offer for September. I upgraded to DDP at that time. Now that I am looking at the children's menus I am a little worried.

I am sure my kids will be fine for 4 days surviving on pizza and nuggets, but we have made drastic changes in our diets and I would like to continue that on vacation some what.

Here's my plan for CS meals, tell me if this is "illegal or looked down upon". If the kids are tired of the "kids" food could we get an adult CS meal and have them share? OR is this a no no?

We will only have 3 TS meals, CRT, Rose and Crown (their kids menu actually looks ok), and Chef Mickey. I know since Chef Mickey is an all you can eat type thing they can pick what they want. I am ok with Rose and Crown's kid's offerings. But CRT, we will be eating well, and they get a pizza? Not fair IMO.

Would it be bad if I was to share some of my food with the kids at CRT?

At CRT they will have to pay whether you share with them or not. You could probably have them eat some of your food, but their dining credits will have to be deducted. Since it's 2 credits per person, you may want to look at that one again.

As long as you use credits for which you paid a child's price to buy children's meals, it makes no difference whether you share at CS or not.

You can share your food; just not your credits.

For example: you go to Cosmic Rays and order the 1/2 chicken meal. You sit at the table and you and one of your kiddos can both eat from that meal.

However, if you have two adults only on the DDP, you cannot order 3 adult CS meals at the same time.

All I will say here is that you are on the honor system to use your children's credits for child's meals where they are available. Discussion of using them to buy adult meals is not permitted on the board and any posts suggesting to do so will be deleted.

I apologize if I sounded like I was trying defraud Disney :(.

I am completely new to all of this. This is our first visit ever.

I was hoping I could use one of my husband or my CS credits for thier food, not try to use a child credit for an adult meal. I don't understand how that would work.

I have read a lot of the adult meals are large. I was hoping to order a meal for myself and DH to share, and then one for the children to share. I don't really care if the kid's credits get used if they are tired of the typical kid's food.

I apologize, I should have clarified what I meant.

Maybe easier to think of it this way to stay "legal."
You can order two adult meals using you and your husband's credits. Then Mom can share with one kid while Dad shares with another. LOL As long as you are not trying to use a child credit for an adult meal, no one cares who eats off of what plate. In fact my teen likes the kids food sometimes more than her little sister and they have been known to each get the appropriate meals and do some sharing : )

Check the sticky at the top about kids options and CS that do not offer a kids menu.
At a lot of the CS locations the meals are big enough to split between 2 adults. On our last trip my wife and I would order 2 adult CS meals and share with our DD4, and believe you me it was still way to much food. in one instance my wife ate my DD turkey wrap and DD ate her salad. Remember you can use you "kids" CS credits to order "adult" meals at places that do not offer a kids menu (i.e. Yorkshire Fish Shoppe, Tolouca Turkey Legs and Casey's). Between our CS, TS and snacks there was actually WAY to much food and we were NEVER hungry. We even had 8 snack credits at the end of the trip that we used to bring pre-packaged snacks for the ride home.
We are doing the QSDP this time around for not only the convenience of no ADRs but also because we liked the variety that CS offered.

Thanks for the added info guys!

There are many restaurants where there are things other than chicken nuggets offered. You can also check out the meals at allears.net. My children hardly ever get the chicken nuggets.

Have fun!
