Kids Nite Out Babysitting at WDW?

Nothing is coming up in search and I know I've asked this before. Has anyone used Kids Nite Out? How did you like it? I see you can ask for a grandmotherly or college age, which did you pick?

There is an EMH for MK while we are there and I figured it's a good opportunity to get a sitter and take DS to the park so we can ride the bigger stuff that a 19 month old can't ride. I see it's very expensive, but I would feel bad if DS didn't get to ride Splash Mountain or Space Mountain at least once during our trip!

As far as personal experience, they were great. We used them for a recent trip so we could bid the Adventurers Club an appropriate send off.

We requested a college age female, because that is what our DS4 is used to at his daycare. Grandmotherly may have been my choice when he was 19mos though.

Our sitter was very professional, arrived on time and even brought along some stuff to play with. We had no worries and we will use them again I'm sure.

We used them this past June for the first time and had a wonderful experience. I requested "college-age female" just because I explained to the boys they were having a special "play date" since I knew she came with arts and crafts and other stuff.

I found her to be very professional.

I thought the prices were fairly reasonable, we live in NYC if that makes a difference.

I would highly recommend them as well as use them again!

Oh, you might have to have the front desk make you an extra room key for her. She asked to keep a room key (even though they were not leaving the room, for security) Since your toddler won't have their own, you'll need an extra to give her.

My son is 9, will they give him a room key upon check in if I ask? If so, I could just give her his key.

He'll need his room key to enter the parks as it's an all-in-one card. Your park tickets, credit card (for you, not him) and room key are all accessed with your "Key to the World" card.

So you'll need to obtain an extra for the sitter.

I'd just ask for an extra keycard with your daughter's name on it. It would just be the keycard for her as she doesn't need a ticket.

We used KNO in 2007 when our son was still 3 & not yet reliably potty trained. We got a young (college aged) women. (We just requested female.) She was very professional, my son reported having a good time with her. I think he much prefered playing with his Thomas the Tank Engine that we brought with us, to the toys she brought. So you might bring along a favorite toy or activity and hide it til the night you go out. We returned after our date night at Bistro de Paris to a sleeping child and a good report from the babysitter.

So true!!!

For my train loving boys, we picked up a Mickey Alphabet Train Puzzle for $6.99 in Once Upon a Toy in DTD. I sort of hide it from them until moments before the sitter arrived and told them they can open it with her. They were so excited with the new toy and sharing it with her. It made our departure a lot easier!!!
