Kids meals on British airways

Just wondering weather to order my kids one because when we flew virgin the prefered our choice of meals than there's not flown britishairways so not sure what they do kids are 11-9-6

Personally I would not bother with kids meals. Pack a few little snacks and some sweet treats and keep them in your hand luggage in case and just order them the regular stuff.

At best, airline food is meh. Really, you hear all this talk about what is the food like etc etc and the reality is that you cannot expect gourmet food cooked hours in advance and kept warm in little boxes, served at 35000 ft to be anything but .... meh The aren't little kiddies so I'd give it a miss if they generally eat what they are given when you serve up your meals at home. I can perhaps see the merit in a 'fun' looking meal for a four year old but not for the older kids. Just my 2c

We fly BA to New York this year, and were happily surprised with how tasty the food was (and we were in economy). They took part in some major research a couple of years back (Heston whatshisface was involved), and have been upgrading the food as a result.

Both our evening meal, and sandwich on the way out, and our cooked breakfast on the way home, were beautiful. They had lots of different parts to it (hot meal was honey and mustard chicken, plus a pot of couscous and veg, a nice bread roll and butter, and a yummy chocolate mousse). If your kids are happy with whatever comes their way at home, I'm sure they'll be fine with the adult meals!

You could always order them the fruit platter and bring sandwiches. I had the fruit platter on our last flight with them and the fruit was yummy and fresh. Otherwise the kids meal was chicken nuggets, mash and veg. Neither of my kids ate it.
